Primula - Wonderful view - Vilamoura Marina

This apartment was absolutely perfect — the views over the marina were incredible, and having all the bars and restaurants right on the doorstep made everything so easy. Loved the outdoor space - a large balcony with shade to sit, sip wine and watch the boats come into the marina, plus a huge terrace above with 360 degree views. We stayed towards the end of April and the weather was hot, but the pool was unfortunately a bit too cold to swim in. However, the pool facilities and gardens were beautifully maintained, so we still enjoyed relaxing by the pool — and the deli next to the complex was perfect for grabbing delicious sandwiches for a picnic by the pool. The kitchen was fully equipped with every appliance you could need. The complex has numerous entrances and lifts so it was simple to get around. We were only there for a short break so didn't need a hire car - we walked everywhere or used taxis. However, there is easy parking at the complex if you did hire a car. The host company are also able to arrange hire cars. The host who met us was lovely — very friendly and happy to let us check in early after our morning flight. We would have happily stayed much longer and can't wait to go back!

The apartment was amazing overall, so these are only small things that would have made the stay exceptional. The bed was futon‑style and very low, which made it difficult for my husband, who has mobility issues, to get in and out of. An information pack would have been really helpful — things like the nearest food shops, where the communal bins are (as guests are expected to empty them on departure), and suggestions for local activities such as boat trips or descriptions of the nearby beaches. Some cleaning supplies would have been useful to be able to clean the bird mess off the outdoor seats and table. We also had an issue with the airport transfer booked through Booking.com: the taxi dropped us at the wrong end of the complex, and the host had to come and find us, leaving us with a long walk and our suitcases. He showed us a much closer entrance and car park to be dropped off at. The host mentioned this happens often because Booking.com lists the wrong address, so I’d recommend contacting the host company directly for the exact drop‑off point before arranging transfers.

Beautiful view from this 1 bed apt, very clean and well furnished

Das Appartement ist eine Wucht, von der riesigen Terrasse hat man eine Traumaussicht, das Appartement ist sehr modern, neue Küche mit allerbester Ausrüstung, jedes erdenkliche Küchenutensil vorhanden. Ich habe sehr gut geschlafen Dank der einmaligen Matratzen. Sollte es kühl werden, sind Decken massenweise vorhanden. Eine Klimaanlage kann zur Kühlung wie auch als Heizung genutzt werden. Jonathan ist ein absolut herzlicher Agent, stets darum bemüht, uns einen tollen Aufenthalt zü ermöglichen. Wir durften sehr viel früher ein- wie auch sehr viel später auschecken. Hatten wir mal ein Problem im Appartement, ein Anruf bei Jonathan, nur 5 min später stand der Hausdienst vor der Türe und der Mangel wurde behoben. Einmalig!!! Vielen Dank, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder 🤗

The view

The outside areas we’re disgusting. We couldn’t sit on the roof terrace because it was dirty and shabby, uncared for, needs a good overhaul. The cupboard up there was full of old cushions, with holes in and the whole area needs painting/varnishing. There are weeds and seagull droppings. The balcony was in need of an overhaul. The cupboard was full of tiles and rubbish and other detritus. The sun-bed cushions were disgusting and had bird droppings on them. We noticed, since reading other reviews, that others have complained about the outside area back in October 2024 and clearly the owners have no consideration for the customers or their reviews. On arrival, the cleaners had not finished. When they had gone, the dishwasher was still loaded. And our bed had no top sheet, just a blanket and coverlet. The pillows were very old. The drawers in the largest wardrobe could not be used because it was full of bedding. Luckily, we found a sheet and made the bed properly ourselves. The towels in the bathroom were so old and non absorbent. They were also discoloured. The toilet flush stuck and was worn. The water in the sink did not drain quickly. In the kitchen, there was a drawer cover missing which meant the baskets were not fixed and fell on the floor repeatedly. There were no wine glasses, one gin balloon and some tumblers and four Prosecco glasses. The fridge, dishwasher, crockery and washing machine were fine.

The location was amazing -close to the marina. The view from the balcony was spectacular. The shop close by had fab food so we had lunch on the balcony every day. Close to amazing beach Great pool on site

However, there was very loud music until 1.30 am on Saturday from somewhere near the beach and very loud music from a party in the complex another night. Also the shutters weren't great, so it was very bright from early morning. Feel if the shutters were better the soundproofing may be better Very few glasses -only 1 wine glass! The apartment could do with modernization. Quite dated A safe is provided but this wasnt secured and could easily be picked up and removed from the apartment.

Location was wonderful always something going on in the harbour . Boats are on the move all day plenty to watch . Stunning lit up at night although can be a bit noisy as you are central but noise usually dies down around one .

Could do with a bit of a spruce up . Outside areas need painting and furniture inside and out could be more comfortable. Couldn't leave any food in the kitchen or it was covered in ants .

Central position

Worn out furniture and mould in the bathroom. Bedroom external door did not lock. Living room external door had been jemmied. Host disappeared before we looked around property. Hardly surprising with condition furniture and flooring.
