Nous avons beaucoup apprécié cet appartement : décoré avec beaucoup de gout, très proche du Duomo, vue exceptionnelle, qualité des prestations. Appartement parfait pour 2, très spacieux et très lumineux C’était appréciable aussi d’avoir des suggestions de restos et de visites.

Nous aurions apprécié avoir de quoi faire un petit dej

The apartment is beautiful and in a great location for exploring Matera.

Excel t facilities. Very clean and comfortable, and in a nice quiet area….and watching the sunrise from bed is bliss.

Die Unterkunft liegt in der Nähe zur Sassi direkt hinter dem Dom. Der Ausblick über die Schlucht ist bezaubernd :) Unsere Gastgeber standen uns immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Wir sind herzlichst mit dem frischen Brot aus Matera, Olivenöl und heimischen Kräutern empfangen worden. Gerne immer wieder !

Tout était parfait. L’emplacement est idéal. Le logement est absolument magnifique et rénové avec grand soin et goût.

The apartment was lovely.

Amazing views & close to everything.

Great view over the caves - the walk to the caves is also near to the apartment and is recommended for the view back at Matera (moderate fitness, good footwear / or trainers and water recommended). Great location close to the cathedral and some nice restaurants. Nice interior design. Need to be prepared for a 10-15 min walk from your car and to navigate some steps - but everyone is doing the same it seems in Matera, so not a problem or unique to this apartment.

The apartment is quite lovely and modern inside a large room built in stone. The living area, kitchen and bathroom are all in the main area. The bedroom is in the loft above this area and it is accessed by a narrow spiral staircase. The bedroom has a spa bath in the loft as well! We didn’t use it but it looked great. All the furnishings and bedding and very nice and the apartment has a good homely feel. There is a single large arched window in the living area which looks straight out to the hillside which is across the gorge from the apartment and you can also see some of the house roofs and the large church which are below the apartment. Matera itself is amazingly beautiful and the apartment is well located near cafes, restaurants and bars. Overall we had a delightful stay.

There are a few things to be aware of. Accessing the loft bedroom is via a narrow spiral staircase inside the apartment. This was fine for us, but if you are less mobile, then this might be a challenge. Finding the apartment was tricky so make sure you get the details from the hosts. Finally, we rolled our luggage from where we parking our car (in a parking station adjacent to the old town). Parking there was very expensive! Most of the luggage rolling through the old town was ok, but when we got close to the apartment there were many steps down to it which made getting the luggage to it much more difficult. And then when were leaving we had to get the bags back up the stairs. Again we managed but others might not.
