Portland Urban Lodge, Quiet, Walkable, Near

We wanted to stay near family so the location was great. Lack of exterior lighting and uneven paving made arrival a bit treacherous - had to use our phone flashlights. Main living space is upstairs which we did not know prior. Kind of an odd layout. Downstairs bedrooms very spacious- upstairs (with slanted roof), not so much. It was clean, in a good neighborhood and did what we needed it to do, so worked for us. Host was very responsive to questions.

quiet, conveniently located, clean, and an amazing value. Our host was extremely accommodating without being overbearing whatsoever. Definitely one of my favorite stays in Portland over the years.

There's nothing not to like. If you're traveling with two people, this place is perfect. Because each room is on a different floor you have the option to hang out in the common areas or go back to your own rooms for some personal space.

Kitchen good. Location good. Provided what we needed.

The description did not clarify that there were 2 floors. One person had some difficulty with stairs. Downstairs bedroom poorly lit and not well designed.

Low sloped ceilings in upstairs bedroom and bathroom are a challenge to navigate. Convertible couch not big enough for an adult. Not great for sleeping - this is not a sofa bed but a couch on which the back cushions can lay flat. There is also a large gap in the couch cushions. This would be uncomfortable for sleeping. The size is only good for a small child to use if they find it comfortable to lay on half of it. The inability to use the couch was a significant downside based on the number of people we had staying here.

Comfortable beds and good quality towels and sheets. It was nice to be greeted with a bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir. Safe yard for our pooch. Lots of space

Stove top and oven in need a deep clean. Everything smoked when we put on the burners and oven.
