Luxury 2BR Near MCR City and Etihad Stadium

Didn't stay here as address wasn't forwarded to us. Had to find another property the night before.

Nothing because we couldn’t check in, after multiple phone calls and messages to the host, no reply. So we had to go book into a hotel instead.

The area is really rough, drug dealers outside.

We had the property cancelled on us 1 minute before we arrived. There was no parking in the drive either

We never got to stay in it as the owner cancelled on us one minute before we arrived. He offered us alternative accommodation which was 15 minutes drive away so we could not walk to the concert at the coop live arena as planned. I am very disappointed

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!! Our flight landed in early Wednesday morning and we were due to check in, yet we still hadn’t received any information regarding where the apartment was or who to meet to get in. I rang the number on the booking which was for a construction company and there was no answer. After multiple calls and texts I got given information to an apartment that has a different area code than to the one that I booked. This apartment was not near the CO-OP arena, what was suppose to be a 5 minute walk we were given an apartment that was a 15 minute drive!!! I was told that we could check in early (original check in time was 15:00) but the apartment may need to be cleaned. Understandable. When we got to the apartment it was as if there were squatter living in it. The place was turned upside down. We were greeted with an overflowing laundry basket full of dirty towels that left a stench as we walked in. The bathroom had no toilet roll and the grout on the tiles were moulding. The beds weren't made and the furniture in the room was yellow guessing from oxidisation. The pillow cases were missing from the pillows in the living room and there were knifes wrapped up in the counters and coffee cans open and an oven that had a layer of grime on the door. I had texted the owner asking when the cleaners were going to come and i never received an answer. We felt unsafe in the apartment as the front door was the same quality as the ones all the rooms inside had. We waited until our original check in time (15:00) and the cleaners had still not arrived. So we had to book alternate accommodation putting us out of pocket. We contacted booking.com looking for a refund and they told us that they couldn’t anything as they couldn’t get into contact with the owner. We texted the owner privately and I am still due a reply from any of my messages sent after we were given the check in details.

We turned up to the property and upon entry, there was somebody in the flat already! I called the host and he said he had another flat just a short walk away that we could use. We walked to the next place already slightly annoyed at the situation. The host told us that the flat needed cleaning but he will get someone over straight away. Upon entry it seemed ‘clean’ on first glance. The beds were made but on closer inspection, the bed sheets were stained and the mattress sheet had hairs all on it. I opened the fridge and the smell was so bad I ended up being sick in the sink. Holes in the walls, electrical wires hanging out and a bathroom that I would allow my dog to enter. We ended up booking elsewhere to stay as I could not have stayed here. Absolutely disgusting place and should be taken off booking.com to save other people having to go through this situation.

Upon entry to the property we found it was not cleaned. Beds were unmade and towels on the floor which was proof of this fact. Pictures off the walls and settee cushions been used in beds so felt like it was in the middle of being re decorated which was strange given the pictures on the website? Made contact with the owner who apologised and said will sort, but then did not keep us informed. After waiting 2 hrs we re contacted him where he said he thought it had been sorted said cleaners were next door (not sure if this was just a line), so was he going to ring us back? Despite waiting in total 3 hours it spoiled all our plans with no option to travel home with our overall night spoiled. Codes to access property were incorrect so luckily other residents helped but every door and entry point there was a code which understood the need but was hard work! We needed resident help when trying to leave. The owner whilst apologetic, we felt he was not proactive nor overall helpful so we would advise save your money and stay elsewhere.

Every room smelled of urine. Property has a balcony but we were unable to use this as the door was hanging off and unable to open and close. internal doors loose and hanging off

Skirting boards dirty, no mattress protector on the bed. Balcony door broken so even though it was somewhat secure a draft would constantly come through. Advertising as luxury even though it isn’t. The stairway to the apartment stank of stale urine (not owners fault) radiator is rusty, broken arial socket

Location perfect for COOP live, etihad stadium and British cycling centre.

Tv remote had flat batteries. Small table in living room is broken. The hallway is very dark even with the light switched on. The radiators are dirty. Some of the fixtures are broken and door handle. Needs a bit of maintenance to make it perfect. Also there was a used facial cotton wipe on the side of the toilet (from previous people using apartment).
