The location was good, parking was available on the street, WiFi was available.

The property needs a lot of work. I doubt that the host would knowingly accept to rent a house in that state. The cleaning team needs to actually make sure that the house is in a state to receive another set of guests after the last set leave, not just a quick change of beddings. I mean, clean mopped floors. Also, maybe invest in waterproof mattress (and pillow) covers so that a room doesn’t have to be “decommissioned” for the period of stay because the bed is unusable due to the stink from it.

Area was ideal for our needs and good communication with host.

Not enough cups or glasses for number of people staying in the house, had to contact host about washing powder for washing machine and matches for stove.

Easy access

Many things: 1. My daughter caught her foot on the hook on the stairs. Not very healthy, especially with the downstairs bathroom. It needs fixing. 2. You advertised the place as no smoking, but the place reeked of stale fag. Opening the windows till we arrived did not help. The pictures online may have been taken when the property was first refurbished. The painting on the wall, floor, stairs/carpet, and the bannister were all a letdown. 3. Salt and pepper in small containers are more critical than tea, coffee and sugar in a self-catering accommodation. The cupboards were bare. 4. We are five guests, and each of us should have big wraparound towels, not tiny ones, mainly because the bathroom is downstairs. 5. Communication is poor. I sent a message to the provided phone number; no response. I sent an email, and I received a response with more questions about the information I had already provided. The booking was not showing on Booking.com, even though I booked it on the website, so I could not communicate through the website. It is perceived that this was intentional, so they do not have to answer questions. I will not be using this accommodation in the near or far future. Unhealthy and unsafe!
