Katre Pacifico, Siargao - SELF CHECK-IN Budget Hostel in Pacifico, Siargao

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Katre Hostel in Pacifico Siargao for the second time, and it was just as fantastic as my first visit. The experience really feels like coming home. One of the standout features this time was the fully operational kitchen on the third floor. It's a great spot not just for cooking, but also for soaking in the breathtaking views of both the sunrise and moonrise—it’s truly a magical way to start and end the day. Cleanliness is a big deal for me, and I was pleased to find that the showers and toilets were spotless. It really adds to the comfort of the stay. The beds are incredibly comfortable, allowing for a restful night’s sleep after a long day of exploring. Overall, Katre Hostel continues to impress, and I can’t wait for my next visit!

the location is in the beachfront so you can easily catch the beautiful sunrise when you get up on time. the bunk beds and the room itself is spacious enough that you can move comfortably. another good thing is the bunks and the stairs are made of concrete so it doesn’t make noise when climb up to the top level. the room and the toilet also smell really good. shower and toilet are separate which is both convenient and efficient. there’s also free water in the room and a water heater. wifi is also strong and the ac is cool. they also have a common area on the third floor where you can cook and dine. utensils and cooking wares are also free for use. they also have a hammock there where you can just sit and relax.

The check-in process was easy to follow. The bed are nice and comfortable, including the temperature of the room. The facilities, such as kitchen, water pressure in the bathroom and hot shower is great. The location is amazing as it's walking distance to the beach and you have a nice view of the beach and the mountains on the common area. There were free coffee and drinking water.

It's like coming home to your own vacation house. ☑️ Comfortable bed with fluffy pillows in a stable concrete bed frame ☑️ Hot shower (which is quite uncommon among budget hostels) ☑️ Free water in the room with water kettle and mugs ☑️ Very spacious for a dorm-type accommodation ☑️ Walking distance to the beach and cafes ☑️ Business owner is awesome; she does tthe hostel housekeeping herself and offered amazing macadamia coffee for FREE! She also connected us with an equally amazing tuktuk and tour service around the island ☑️ Highly recommended for solo travelers and group tourists I'm excited about the newly built shared kitchen and dining at the roof deck. I will definitely come back and recommend this hostel to my family and friends.

The staff were easy to contact and helpful when needed. It’s well located in Pacifico, 1 minute to beach and a couple of decent restaurants. It will probably be a good place to stay in the future

The property is not ready for guests yet. There is still major construction going on to finish the kitchen and social area, which is on the roof, directly above the living areas. I was woken up before 7 both mornings and the noise is constant throughout the day. The under bed lockers are impractical and it needs some finishing touches. I was also the only person to stay in the entire hostel throughout my stay - not good for social!

I've been Katrefied. Self check-in is superb and very easy to do. Bunk bed is super comfortable will lull you to sleep fast. Very near the beach. Katre is home away from home.

Easy check-in, great location, so clean and spacious. The bathroom smells so good too. There are coffees, tea and some snacks for free. Looking forward to the shared kitchen they’re building at the roofdeck! Hosts are very friendly and if you’re lucky, you can have a free tour around North.
