Camanta Penida - Adult Only

We booked Camanda Penida Shell Villa for our 1st wedding anniversary, expecting a special experience, but it turned out to be our worst stay ever. 1. Access and Safety: The 10-minute road to the villa is terrible and dangerous. It’s not suitable for scooters, let alone larger vehicles. 2. Rude and Unhelpful Staff: • When it rained, we ordered dinner from the villa. Wayan, the staff member who brought the meal, forgot the cutlery and asked us to fetch it from our room. Dinner was cold, tasteless. Poor service • I requested laundry service upon arrival (4:30 PM), but was told it was closed. When asked to arrange it for the next morning at 8 AM, the staff agreed but never showed up. • Upon checkout, we asked the staff to store one bag temporarily as taxis couldn’t reach the villa due to the road conditions. Instead of storing it safely, they left it outside near the scooter parking area, exposed to the elements. Inadequate facilities • The room didn’t cool properly as it’s open on all sides, leading to an overwhelming number of mosquitoes. • For breakfast, we asked for a salad (listed on their menu) but were told it wasn’t available. The only vegetarian options were a smoothie bowl or cereal. If you are vegetarian and vegans don’t waste your money eating here 4. Overpriced for Poor Service: Considering the lack of proper amenities and rude staff, the high pricing is unjustifiable. The only redeeming factor was the view, but it’s not worth the trouble. I want to formally raise a complaint against the villa management for the terrible service and lack of professionalism. If you’re planning a special occasion or looking for quality service, I strongly advise against staying here.

We loved the originality and style of this property, the roof top pool has amazing views and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The property is a little remote however this is what makes it so special

It's a beautiful place. Really cozy and relaxing. It's brand new, so it's super clean and nice.

The location is not so good and there are not too many options on the menu; they need to decide if is a hotel or a small house because the kitchen there is confusing

Absolutely stunning! 3 night treat for my boyfriends 30th.. staff couldn’t do enough for you.. arranged a romantic dinner with cake one night which was amazing, the views were unbelievable, beautiful villa, with really cool features such as the rooftop little pool. Breakfast was also absolutely delicious each morning.

Very hot to get ready in the evening as villa was indoor/outdoor with only one small air con unit.
