We checked into this guest house on Sunday 30th November 2025 after travelling almost 24 hours from our home The door into our accommodation was a single glass door with a flimsy yale type lock. Normally in this area doors have a iron gates fitted outside doors for extra security due to the danger in the area. It was advertised as self catering and the cooking facilities only had a microwave oven and a kettle. When we returned to the premises after visiting family at approximately 22.00 hours the electricity went off.When we woke in the morning there was still no electricity and there was no water for washing ourselves or flushing the toilet. We had to use bottle water to wash ourselves. We had to fill a bucket with water from the swimming pool to flush the toilet We left to visit family again and returned at 13.00 and there was still no electricity or water. The pool was very dirty with leaves, grass etc floating in it. Also pool water was very murky and you could not see the steps into it. The security gate entering the premises could not be locked as the electric motor was not working and the window in bathrooim had no locking mechanism. This did not make us feel safe as this area is not a safe area. Called the owner and he told me that he had run out of pre paid electricity and he was trying to get this topped up for past 3 days. He knew we were arriving and should have made sure that he had pre paid electricity for our total stay. The owner would not take responsibility for the disconnection of the electricity saying it was not his fault or problem. He was contractually obliged to provide a service to us to supply electricity and water to our accommodation rented from him He could not tell us when the electricity would be restored therefore we had no alternative but to find other accommodation at additional costs. Due to not getting the service that we paid for we want to be refunded the sum of £220.

Bed not comfortable enough, it is not too bad though!
