"Great flat and location but needs more attention paid to the basics"

Great location a couple of minutes from the centre, lovely three-level flat with some beautiful architectural details eg exposed stone, uplighting. Nice and quiet at night. Loved watching swifts circling the terrace. Well appointed kitchen eg good sharp kitchen knife etc. Lovely terrace with views over town and hills.

Checkin advertised as 3pm. Given keys and told to come back at 430, but the flat still wasn't ready. Cleaners eventually turned up at 6pm and cleaned round me. I couldn't get a shower, a rest or settle in till 630. No compensation offered for the inconvenience, not even a cheap bottle of wine. No teatowels were supplied: Requested, told they'd be dropped off, never appeared. No basics in the cupboards eg salt, oil - and no washing machine tablets - things like these are a pest to buy in small quantities for a short stay and would have been appreciated.
