The friendly cats, isolation of the location and a helpful owner (who speaks Spanish, not English). Well equipped kitchen. Plenty of towels and bedding options. Having the pool to ourselves and the absolutely stunning views and lovely loungers by the pool

Had one day where a neighbour parked outside the gate making it a very tight squeeze to get out. One pillow and cushion per person made it a bit uncomfortable

Authentic and traditional finca style apartment, located in sleepy rural village. Unheated pool and outdoor space is a nice luxury, along with log burner for chilly evenings. Some fantastic local walks nearby, camina del siglo and Forteleza. The host greeted us with wine, bananas and water, nice touch 😊.

The apartment was as described but the kitchen work area was awkward and poorly designed making it difficult to cook. Also a bit concerned about trailing cables near gas hobs and buzzing and flickering adaptor sockets when changing appliances. Also the property location can be a challenge to get there, either by bus or car. The roads there are narrow and very winding, not for faint hearted drivers. Although only 40 mins drive from the coast, guests should be aware the climate and temperature in winter is significantly cloudier and cooler than the warmer sunnier coastline. There are some small touches the host could introduce to give a higher score such as providing a local tips and information book and more basic additional essentials like toilet / kitchen roll, firewood, tinder, without guests prompting.

House was comfortable and high standard! Very nice pool area and Vicente was a friendly and helpful host. Good location for hiking and exploring the island by car.
