Zan-Seyoum Hotel - Lalibela

As we came to the hotel we were welcomed by yohan, the owner, with a big smile and lots of tips. Arranged for as a guide and sent us for the day. The room is basic but clean and comfortable. No air conditioner in the room. The shower clean and with hot water. When we came to the hotel in the afternoon, the owner received us hot lemongrass tea from his garden and a plate of roasted peanuts. Evening as the city went without power, the hotel has a generator and we were fine with electricity for the evening. Breakfast included: eggs, pancakes, bread, banana and organic honey. Drinks fresh Papaya juice, coffee and tea. All very fresh and tasty. The owner is very generous and thoughtful. The hotel is 30 minutes from the airport and about 20 minutes from the churches. When I come back to Lalibela, this is the place to stay.

Everything was perfect, the place is nice and the owner organised everything for us. He send a guy to pick us up from airport and brought us to hotel. He welcomed us in hotel with a warm welcome. We always felt very save and welcomed and the guide Thomas brought us to all magic churches and in the evening we had a nice dinner with him. The guide pretend us from some beggers and served us like a family. I also recommends a guide otherwise you will not see everything... Hotel, hotel owner and the guide is a great combination..

Yohannes is an excellent host, who does everything to ensure that his guests have a good stay. I told him to have as a motto: "At our hotel tries, every guest to come as a guest, but leave as a friend."

We had a pleasant experience and the owner was very accommodating. Also I requested vegan breakfast and it was delicious. The room was very big and comfortable, we had hot water and wifi worked well ( I was able to work remotely) Overall great experience and Yohaness is a kind guy that would go above and beyond to make things happen !👏🏻

The owner, Yohannes' soul purpose is to ensure that your stay is pleasant, comfortable, enjoyable and satisfactory. The rooms are clean and tidy, bed very comfortable and understandable why this hotel received high reviews from previous guests. The centre of Lalibela is a short walk away or use one of the many Tuk Tuk transport to get you to where you want to go. Many restaurants, ATM's', banks. All the main churches are within walking distance too. A thoroughly enjoyable stay and highly recommended.

Great location in the center of Lalibela, Yohannes is a great owner which will make all efforts to provide you everything you need to explore the town and the surroundings. The room is spacious and clean which good bathroom and hot shower. King bed comfortable and clean linen and towels. Rooms are cleaned every day. Bkf is included and very good. The guest house arranges dinner as well which is very good. The environment is cozy and you can easily meet other guests and locals during the evening. There are experienced guide provided as well to support the visit and guide you through the area with good explanations in English. Mogis was a very good guide for all the period I spent in lalibella and very helpful. Highly recommended!! Thanks Yohannes and Mogis for the lovely staying. It was a great experience for me. I had a wonderful stay! The accommodation was fantastic, and the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant and welcoming place to stay!

The breakfasts were delicious, no doubt about that, but they were quite similar each day. A bit more variety would have been a nice touch to make them even more enjoyable.

The accommodation is comfortable. The room is spacious with clean and hot shower. The breakfast was simple but good. The owner is welcoming and helpful, he always reaches out to make sure everything is okay. The accommodation is not close to the churches but it is very easily to get there by tuktuk. There are some nice restaurants around the accommodation too!
