The location is amazing and Infront of the beach directly

The room was so dark and no windows, the is a one fan was directed to one bed only. At the morning of my day there was no water so I had to go to another place.

Loved the location, the staff and waking up to a stunning sunrise and jumping in the water was a bliss !

Lack of covering in the dorm :(

Perfect location right on the beach and close to all the bars and restaurants but still had no problems with noise at night. Chloe, Brooke and Eva couldn't have been more helpful.

Location ist excellent. 2 steps and you are on the beach. You are in one of the most beautiful parts of the beach. No directly beside restaurants and bars. Price is very low for the island.

Mattresses are very thin, 1 bathroom for 10 beds, very hot (no a/c) in bedroom. No WiFi.

Great Location, the best in Koh Rong.

A lot of improvement is required, I will detail out from biggest to smallest inconvenience 1. The bug problem: Since the dorm is not insulated and is more like a hut, expect geckos and mosquitoes in the dorm room. 2. The fan problem: It's too hot to survive in the dorm during daytime(sometimes also in night) even if staff has makeshift solutions of big fans and small fans. The problem with the small fan is it can't rotate. So the left half of your body will receive air, while the right half will get burnt like Harvey dent from Batman. There is no power backup. 3. Smelly pillows : Even though staff provides new pillow cover for every guest, the pillow inside has absorbed a lot of sweat during his time so you get reminded of how many fellow travelers sweated in this bed before you. 4. The toilet and shower paradox : Even though the hand wash solution hardly contained any soap and only water; the main thing which caught my attention was that two people can't use toilet and shower simultaneously since both areas are visible to each other. So if u r taking a bath, the toilet becomes useless and vice versa. This paradox will be problem of 10 people, if any day the hostel dorm gets full occupancy. P.S: This review might be harsh, but this hostel has got 5/5 ratings on Google, which fooled me and made me book this property. All the above shortcomings can be improved by the staff. I later stayed at Blue zone hostel, which was great but yes Yaiya has got better location than all the hostels in Koh Rong.

Perfect location, won’t get a bed any closer to the sea. Close to bars, restaurants and ferry pier but a quiet spot. Loved it. Thanks Chloe

It was right on the quiet (and nicer) end of the beach and the owner is very nice and helpful

No air con or wifi, relying on two big fans for the room and a mini fan for each bed. There was a power cut for most of one of the days, meaning the room was impossible to sleep in until the power came back on. One toilet and shower for up to ten people. If the toilet (no toilet paper) was in use the shower was unavailable and vice versa, with the shower being outside.
