Minds & Mountains Eco Lodge

The setup is magical. The physical and pyschological warmth you feel when returning from a day of skiing is wonderful. The optional extras - the sauna/jacuzzi, the delicious and innovative vegetarian dinners - means we'll certainly return.

Estuvimos una noche en este bonito lugar. Se encuentra muy bien ubicado, muy cerca de las pistas de nieve y rodeado de naturaleza. La estructura ofrece desayuno incluido y si se requiere con costo a parte, cena. Todo totalmente vegetariano y la verdad muy rico. Los dueños de este Lodge son los que te reciben y también cocinan. Todo está muy bien cuidado al mínimo detalle y estuvieron atentos de cualquier cosa. Me volvería a quedar aquí.

This is a very cozy lodge in the side of the mountain. Amazing views. There are several rooms and a large lounge for the guests to use with sofas, cozy chairs, fireplace, as well as a self-service bar, books, and board games. It was very quiet at night, so we got a good rest. the bed was comfortable. The sauna and the hot tub are great and worth the try (bookable in the evenings, privately) Breakfast was nice and there was a lot of choice, from freshly baked bread to cheese, spreads and tortilla to yogurt and granola smoothies, and cake (all vegan i think though in some cases difficult to tell the difference). Some people mention the use of car chains in the winter, but we just parked the car outside of the main gate and found that chains were not necessary at all.

Not a criticism of the place, but possibly useful practical information: It is a bit remote from town, so finding parking in the morning for the skiing may be a problem. Also, if you want some dinner, there is no option, but going back into town- driving unless you want to hike up on the main road. If you are satisfied with a cold dinner, there is a very small fridge to leave a few small things. The internet was very poor, and that is fine as the place invites to disconnect. However, we did not do any research on La Molina beforehand and spent quite some time trying to connect and figure out where to rent gear, etc..so do research before and It may be a good idea to rent all ski gear/ get passes the evening before. we were there in super peak season (around New Years) so maybe it was just very busy due to the dates. In any case, I would advise against using the ski rental company recommended at the lodge.
