The staff was super friendly and made us feel at home

Would be nice if there is better lighting in rooms but other than that it’s very valuable for the price

This place is a great spot for couple or solo traveler not looking for a super social or party scene. It's right on the main street, beach access is a 4 or 5 minute walk. If you have a board there is a reef break directly across the road. You can see what the surf looks like from the roof top. The room was clean, and spacious, there was a desk and drying rack. Towels and soap provided. They provided the only warm and cozy fleece blanket we had in Sri Lanka!! AC worked well in combination with the fan. No hot water, but it came from the tank and was warm anyway. There's a nice common/seating area on the 2nd level that's covered from elements and has a good celing fan and lighting so you can sit out of the sun while enjoying fresh air! There is a fridge downstairs to keep you water and beer cool. Marshmellow wave is about a 5-7 minute tuk tuk ride away. Really incredible food and coffee is a walk away beind the main street. Cross the train tracks to Food Train for Sri Lankan dinner and Mangrove Cafe for a yogurt bowl breakfast and really good (real- not instant) coffee at Sri Lankan prices. You can catch the bus right outside the hotel. There will be a daytime and night time staff person, they're super nice. We loved our stay, in this little hotel. It's exactly what we wanted.

It was a bit noisy at night with the road being right there and other hostels partying at night. But honestly the noise pretty much quieted down by 11pm.

Great and very friendly staff! The beach is literally 30 meters from the house. The restaurant has the best food I’ve had in Sri Lanka!

Thought it was located next to some ni e restaurants and beaches, it was clean, loved the bathroom.

It was super noisy as on a main road, you’ll need ear plugs
