Casa da Ribeira - Mosteiros

The location very near the beach as well as the center of town was excellent. I particularly liked the deck on the top floor with a view over the bay. It wasn't quite as good as a beachside house with a panoramic view from the main floor would have been, but it was a close second. The owner was very responsive in answering my questions, when I had trouble figuring out how to get the stove working (since the instructions had been misplaced).

The house had an ant problem. I was careful not to leave any food crumbs around to attract them, but maybe the previous renter had. Hopefully this is not a chronic issue with this house, or if so, the owner could take some simple measures to eradicate them.

Mosteiros is a wonderful village. Casa da Ribeira is located just near the ocean, nice surroundings, beautiful house, nice terrace, everything in and ariund the house can only be defined with enthusiastic superlatives!

We loved everything!

We had a short (2 nights) but very nice stay at this house: The kitchen was fully equipped, the bathroom had a spacious shower and the beds (mattresses) were comfortable - which was wonderful after a long day of exploring the western region of São Miguel. The beach is just a few steps away and several restaurants, bars and grocery store are within walking distance as well. Whenever we had a question or needed assistance, Filipe was just a message away. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Casa da Ribeira and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a nice and comfortable getaway in Mosteiros! The sunset was beautiful!
