Pwani House - Lamu Seafront

The seat front view from the balcony is very beautiful. The breakfast served, was hearty and on the terrace with a spectacular view.

The pool was dirty to take a dip. The kitchen still needs to be clean, too many flies.

Great place to stay in Lamu - the house is a 5min walk from the public boats that reach to the Manda island (airport). Zion was the best host and we also had communication with the managers that checked it was all good during our stay. Zion is a local and we learned lots from him. He made sure we had all we needed - he arranged breakfast every day for the guest of the house (delicious swahili traditional breakfast, fresh fruit, pancakes...). There is only a few rooms, so it feels very personalised, we even co-organised plans with another guest. The bed is very comfy and the room was AC and fans. The house has the traditional architecture of the Lamu/otoman houses. We would chose again without a doubt.

Very minor, we just felt the room was a bit cosy as we were travelling with two backpacks. It was also bad luck we stayed on a Friday and Saturday I think, it can get loud on the street - the house is by the seafront road, which is the most transited place. Again, very minor and would still recommend to have a more real experience in Lamu compared to other accommodation options in the area.
