'The Suite' by Wildhideaway

Ontzettend vriendelijke en attente mensen (stuurden bijvoorbeeld vooraf een bericht of we een ontbijtbox wilden i.v.m. onze vroege safari de volgende dag) heel dichtbij de ingang van het park, heerlijk eten voor een heel redelijke prijs en bij het meertje achter de accommodatie waren veel vogels. Wij hebben uiteindelijk geen gebruik gemaakt van het (kleine) zwembadje omdat het ons aan tijd ontbrak. De kamer was enorm groot.

De badkamer is ietsje verouderd, maar dat was verder geen enkel probleem. Alles was wel heel schoon.

Wild Hideaway is a small place with two rooms and one cabin, called The Suite, where we stayed in. Location is great, close to the entrance of Wilpatu. Staff is really friendly and helpful. We did find it too expensive for what it had to offer though.

The price/quality.

Staff was very Kind and room was nice and clean. Meals we're good traditional food and almost too much. The organized Tour to Wilpattu was reasonable priced for a full day Tour.

Nothing in general regarding this accommodation and services, but about the safari - the following ist true for most guides we had in Sri Lanka: they should explain more and better communicate what ist going on, what they talk with other guiedes, etc. Also, a half day safari, starting in the earley morning would be enough, or a split morning/evening (06-09am/3-6pm) might be better. - As between 10:00am and 3:00pm it seems just be driving around, waiting, eating something, somehow gazing, nothing else

Great place and great host! Thanks Anton for hosting us :) only 3 km from Wilpattu park entrance, small but very nice sweeming pool, and a quite place with wonderful pond with birds on the backyard.
