The complex was nice just wasn't a lot for two teenagers to do it was all about the little kids .

That it was on a parkdean site. The staff at patkdean were all extremely helpful when we approached them for new accommodation as we could not and would not stay in the disgusting family van

We could not and would not stay in this van, and I'll be honest, if we were able to get something on the first night, we would not have stayed at all. We arrived at 7pm, and the parkdean reception was closed. The security staff tried really hard to find us alternative accommodation, but were unable to. We was asked us to come back in the morning. Which we did and thankfully they had us another van waiting for us. We were asked to leave the van as we found it. This is comical as, in our opinion, the van was dirty, messy, cluttered, and unusable with malodour. I will list the concerns. 1 - Smell. That hit as we walked through the door. Very strong smell of dog. Obviously, it was not cleaned from the last visitors. 2 - Wardrobes. We were unable to use any of them. The master was filled with junk and a pair of child's knickers!!!!! Twin was filled with dirty old quits and had screws from the TV poking through!!! Second double, could not get into it because of the table placed in front of the door with 2 lamps and tv on it. When I did manage to open it, there was a pair of child's leggings hanging there. Again, proving it has not been cleaned. 3 - Cleanliness. Although this has been mentioned on both above points, I need to list this separately. Quilt was stained, the freezer was dirty, the cooker was dirty, the kitchen blinds disgusting, some glasses were dirty (not all), coffee table with cup rings, dusy and cobwebs everywhere!!! The whole place felt grimmy 4 - The shower door did not shut. We would not use facility anyway in the family van due to our disgust. 5 - Toilet door held together with a piece of wood. How on earth do they feel that repair is acceptable?? 6 - The final straw was the blinds in the second double. As I released them to cover the window, they were broken!! We drove for 3 hours and I have never felt such disappointment when we arrived! And now I am being accused of demanding a refund and my behaviour is being described as unacceptable.

Don't like to be negative but very dated and cluttered, bedding supplied was bad, glad i'd taken my own, not as clean as it should be when you're letting it. Needs a good sorting to be honest

The Parkdean site in which this property is located is great for a family holiday.

The caravan was absolutely filthy, and in disrepair, not appropriate for a holiday let in its current condition. Upon sending the hosts our photographs of the poor cleanliness, followed by numerous phone calls and texts, the hosts were unresponsive, no resolution was provided, it was so grim inside the caravan even our children refused to stay. I tried to get a last minute caravan at the Parkdean reception and sort advice from them regarding our non-responsive hosts, unfortunately there wasn’t any alternative accommodation available. At this point it was 7pm and we had two options either travel 3 hours back home, or to deep clean the caravan to a standard we’d feel comfortable to stay. We tried to contact the hosts once again, no response. Just as we started to reluctantly settle down for the night, the hosts spam called us at 11pm, due to it being so late I did not answer as I would resolve in the morning at a more appropriate time of the day…. But oh no, that didn’t cross the hosts mind, instead of a message of concern or an apology, they decided to report us to Parkdean security who knocked on the door at 11:15pm saying the caravan owner had contacted them to report we were inside the van without their authority! The security officer said quote “he’s rang us to say he’s concerned that because you’ve complained you’ll stay the night but request a full refund from booking.com so therefore would prefer us to leave the property” we could stay on the condition we didn’t complain or request a refund!!!! How is that even a sensible solution to the matter? Still no apology or acknowledge of their failure to provide an adequate holiday let! Don’t get me wrong, we was never expecting The Ritz, but we most definitely did not anticipate finding a greasy oven and stove with a tray of festering chicken pieces, a sofa swimming in dirt, black mould and soap scum in the shower accompanied by a shelf of hairy soap, filthy ripped duvets with brown stains, dirty knickers etc

Upon arrival to the site, we had trouble finding the caravan as it didn’t have a number on it. As I opened the door we were greeted by a messy floor and food from previous guests, food in the freezer and dog bone food behind the sette. The toilet door was very poorly fixed with no handle, the bathroom door didn’t shut so you didn’t get any privacy. There had been toiletries left in there and from reading the reviews they had been there since may ( used soap, razers and toothbrush’s). We had to live out of our bags for a holiday as the wardrobes was full with clutter or blocked with a table. The one bedroom the blind was broken, no handle on the inside and the lights didn’t work. Our quilt was all torn and ripped, we was only told about bringing our own bedsheets after leaving our house early in the morning, we had to turn around and get the stuff. None of the game’s consoles worked. We was told to leave the caravan as we found it but I’m not the type of person to leave it in a state. I had to clean it when we arrived at the caravan

Human waste all over beds, mould and rubbish under the sofa. Lack of customer service when these issues were raised. No apology, clearly they are happy to sleep with human feaces, urine and some sort of yellow cream.
