D'flora Bungalow & Glamping

The bungalows are so cute but what made the stay incredible was the family that takes care of the property. Lia was so so sweet and cooked incredible food and always made sure we were happy with our stay! It is in a very remote area but Lia will help you find activities and hidden gems!

I spent 2 nights there and I really enjoyed it. It is peacefull,I loved to go to the waterfall nearby to read a book,and most of all I felt like home thanks to Ellen,his brother and family and Arief. I do not drive a motorbike and they drove me to the waterfall and twice to a point of view to see the sunset. They were also really arranging and flexible and they offered me a ride to ruteng as the family was heading there! They were all very kind and made me feel like part of the family! I cannot thank you enough for everything!

We couldn't be received by more welcoming and pleasant people, the place is wonderful and everyone is so lovely. We had the best Mie Goreng we've ever had

No signal and no wifi so be wary if you need to make important calls or messages. Unfortunately the communal area which included the bathroom and toilet was closed after we went to bed so we couldn't access it at night

Stunning clamping site in the mountains outside Labuan Bajo. its very remote so we recommend taking the onsite cooking option which is wonderfully made organic clean Indonesian style food by Ouma. Was so nice to eat good clean food after weeks of travelling and getting food in the go all the time. Room is basic (clamping) but clean and also had a place to hang our laundry also drying. Helpful when everything’s a bit damp. Wi-fi limited but if you get the recommended SIM card then you’ll have access. Ask which is best for the area and host will advise you. We hired a bike through them to travel around the area which was awesome and wonderful scenically. Take the option to go to the beautiful hidden waterfall if you can, it’s truly stunning ! Take some snacks and stay a few hours ! it’s wonderful :)

Toilet is in a communal area … but otherwise ;) nothing…

Incredibly friendly family and amazing location, surrounded by nature in a small village. When we walked through the village, we were invited in for coffee with locals. The family kept bringing us snacks and games throughout the day and drove us around to see local sites including a secret waterfall. A fantastic place to unwind and relax.

We really enjoyed being offline but it is worth knowing there is no phone signal or WiFi at all. There were a few small unexpected costs on our bill, and we were given the wrong price for the pick up until it was on its way, but then there were also some unexpected discounts so it may also be worth clarifying exactly what things cost if you are on a budget.

Ellen and her family were just super nice! I had a short stay here, but Ellen was very helpful in arranging my transportation there and a trip to the nearby waterfalls. Dinner and lunch were also really good!

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this wonderful place. We’ve been warmly greeted and looked after during our stay. We had a lovely dinner and breakfast and visited a waterfall in the morning. All in all it was a great stay we felt as if part of a family, as they’ve only started recently I know they’ll do very well, we will most definitely be back one day.

Ellen and her family are the best..we had an amazing time with them in this beautiful, quiet place on earth :)))

We had the best stay at D’Flora! Despite only being open for 2 weeks we were made to feel so welcomed and at home. Not only was the food amazing and the beds comfortable but Ellen and her family went above and beyond to help our every need. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend D’Flora for anyone looking to explore Flores more and get to know the island
