Good location, just a short walk from the historic center of Polignano a Mare and all the main attractions

Disappointing check-in experience and poor communication. This property does not seem to be managed by the owner, but by people who clearly lack any sense of hospitality. The address listed on Booking was incomplete (no street number – it should have been Via Narciso, 33). On arrival, I called to ask for clarification, only to hear an automatic message saying the number was unavailable and that no voicemail could be left. It was a very windy day, and I had to walk up and down the street twice before spotting a tiny sign, barely visible (as shown in the photo). I called again – same result. Five minutes later, I received a call telling me, without any greeting or apology, to wait in the street for five more minutes. Fifteen minutes after that, a woman showed up and told me I was supposed to go to another address — apparently indicated in a message sent after my booking, which I had not seen. She offered no apology, was sarcastic and dismissive, and acted as though I was at fault. I was upset and wanted to refuse the accommodation. My husband, however, called her back and managed to resolve the situation. She gave us the apartment and even found a free parking spot, whereas we were initially told parking would cost €20. Later, while walking around Polignano a Mare, I realized that in the off-season it’s actually possible to park for free in the town — something that was never mentioned to us at the time of booking, even though I had asked about parking. Compared to this frustrating arrival, the rest of the stay was uneventful, but this was by far the worst check-in experience I’ve had — and I’ve booked with Booking.com from Japan to New Zealand, Namibia to Oman.

Great location, you're just a minute away from the vibrant centre, yet you do not hear any street noise. The room was spacious and comfortable. It had little kitchen and a fridge which was handy.

The shower was not working properly - the water was going everywhere apart from you plus there was not enough hot water. Generally the bathroom needs som maintenance.
