"Cool building, but uncomfortable room"

This hotel is in an old apartment building just outside of downtown. It is further away from things, but the neighborhood is quiet and we were still able to walk where we wanted to go.

The room was oppressively hot. It was in the 40s outside. We turned off the heat and opened all the windows, but it was impossible to get the room cool enough to be comfortable. Housekeeping also left the door to our room open (not unlocked, not closed at all). We went to the front desk to let them know so they could provide feedback and the person behind the desk acted like we were crazy and tried to explain to us how to lock the deadbolt with a key. It was not very respectful at all.
