The Little Place By The Sea

The flat was so well equipped, warm and comfy. The location was ideal for us with on street parking and the sea at the end of the road. We could walk everywhere we wanted to get to, and had such a wonderful time.

There was a constant low hum in the bedroom, which seemed like it came from an adjoining flat. It certainly didn't spoil our stay, but might be worth knowing if you are a sensitive sleeper.

Boiler had a fault so we had no hot water for the duration of our stay. As it was over Christmas there wasn't much the owners could do about it though they did offer to get us a room at the Travelodge near by. We didn't take them up on it as we were able to shower at our daughter's house. Cork screw was broken (the twisted section was missing) so we couldn't open a bottle of wine we'd brought with us. And the bed was uncomfortable - you could feel the springs of the mattress under the sheet. on the morning we left we stripped the sheets and realised that the mattress had been turned over to the wrong side. Not sure why so we turned it the right way up for the next visitor. The overall impression was that more care needed to be taken between bookings, checking that everything is working before the next visitor arrives.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Little Place by the Sea, it had lovely homely touches throughout and the we felt just at home there. It was a great space and had everything we needed for self catering. Our host was really good at communicating throughout the booking and at the property too. We really enjoyed our stay and loved being so close to the beach too. Parking was easy and lots to do close-by, and shops to pop to for groceries. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very lovely apartment with all necessary facilities and very well placed. Loved the plants and books.

The main front door!!! Needs to be sorted so it's easier to open and shut and not so noisy!
