Modern , Spotless Townhouse in Quiet Estate - Pietermaritzburg

The place is beautiful and has great potential, well secured area and safe

Entering and exiting the complex is a hassle. After our stay we were told we needed to pay extra since we had 10 guests in the house and not 6, when i asked how she came up to 10 guests she sent me the security car log which clearly showed that the same car was entering and exiting with the same number of people however she was only counting the number of times the car entered on a daily. (Which means i am only allowed 1 entry and exit per day), When i pointed it out to her she was very rude which was extremely disappointing as an apology would have been more than enough we all make mistakes. Now it makes it difficult to see the beauty of the property if the owner/staff act like this. It's a pity I can't share screenshots of our conversation so you can see for yourselves.

Rooms were good, clean and everything was in order

Location,, struggled to reach the place. And at the gate was difficult to get the house, NO one to direct me to the house since it's Estates NO one had an idea on who is the owner of the house

The house was very big and clean

The sleeper couch in the lounge is small

The host was absolutely terrible, her attitude was appalling, to say the least! You’d swear we had asked to stay at her place for free. After a 6-hour drive to Pietermaritzburg, we were met with zero hospitality and unnecessary hostility. She refused to let us check in earlier, which was fine — but by 8 a.m., we already had a complete stranger (the housekeeper) walking around and rushing us to check out, even though check-out was clearly stated as 10–11 a.m. It was extremely uncomfortable trying to get dressed while a stranger moved around the house. The whole experience was awkward, unwelcoming, and just plain cringe! 😤😬 Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who values basic courtesy or professionalism

The house was beautiful! We felt like we were at home away from home. Everything we needed was right there. Our hosts were amazing, answering questions and helping us with recommendations if we needed it. We will most certainly be returning!
