PHPHThe hostel is very much near must-eat places and the beach. They have common area where you can chill and do work or workout. Our room is spacious enough for 2 people. Kitchen is complete with everything we need/can use although I only cooked ramyeon the night before our check-out. :) Water pressure is good. Place is very simple and clean yet very aesthetic. The owner is very approachable and accommodating. Check in and check out were a breeze. They have a resto/cafe inside but we didn’t get to try it, probably on our next visit. :)
Not really CONS but things that we observed during our stay - They have parking space but is very limited and on a first come first serve basis. There’s a pay parking space beside the hostel though. The road towards the hostel might be too tight for bigger vehicles such as vans. Wifi connection was slow at times esp at night. Weak data connection for Smart or GOMO users. Sink was too low and a little small for the slightly bigger faucet. The bamboo thingies where you can hang your towels or clothes were flimsy, so you’d have to be careful in getting off or putting on your clothes.
AUI stayed in the 8 person dorm and it was very comfortable. The newly renovated beds are great, and has a curtain for some privacy. There’s no Ac in the rooms but they lend you a portable fan and so I always slept very well. I really love the coworking space they include upstairs, it’s the reason I’ve extended my stay for a week longer. Common room and kitchen is nice and overall enjoy all the facilities. Staff are nice too. Wifi is great in coworking space and common area but can get a bit spotty/not working at nights in the dorm rooms only. But at least you can move to common area to use good wifi. Overall one of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in terms of modern design, cleanliness and comfort.
On weekends when it’s busiest the bathrooms get full and messy. I think they may need to be cleaned twice a day on weekends because it gets a bit gross. So those days I go downstairs and use the other bathrooms because they are less used and busy. But otherwise the cleaner does a good job.
