in the middle of local neighborhood and it is a small farm, very cool. Great open space to stargaze, 10 min from the beaches where sunrise can be viewed.

Great location! House really clean, comfy beds and attention.

I think if they could give us napkins in the kitchen and plastic bags. But besides that, it’s really good. Nothing to care about.

Clean and gated - felt very safe. Having our own kitchen was nice along with the common space.

There was some confusion about whether or not I needed to do the $100 incidental deposit. I did not have to do the deposit so maybe just updating the policy would be great.

"Great value, great hosts, happy guests!"

This was an amazing value for our stay. The hosts were wonderful and were super helpful and responsive, easy to contact since we are right next door!! They are willing to talk about their small farm and share tips, they even shared some yummy microgreens with us. My son was the same age as their children and so they were really welcoming to him playing together. He's aways wanted siblings so that was fun. I don't expect our hosts to welcome their guests into their private home!! Absolutely worth the stay, just be realistic about the location if you're in a rush: you're on island time, relax and just aloha!

My only real issues were the chickens. They woke us up at 330 am every day. Eventually we got somewhat used to it, but still unexpected. But I'm light sleeper so that might be my issue. We didn't realize there wasn't a/c and I need to be cool to sleep and can't keep windows open due to bugs and coqui frogs (those you can tune out pretty easily). Also, no laundry, so just be prepared to go to Pahoa or Keaau to do laundry. Hosts are wonderful about swapping out linens upon request, however. There is no TV, and we were stuck there during a hurricane so ended up going out to buy a cheap one so we could have a movie night, but that was because we were planning to be on island long term. Overall no complaints!!
