friendly responsive hosts, spacious apartment, parking in front of the house, nice location a short walk from the beach and near a lot of stores

no air conditioning at all (!!), old appliances: no microwave, broken fridge with a door that doesn’t close properly, dirty kitchen and floors, no lamps outside in the garden. there was also some kind of machine outside one of the bedrooms that made noise 24/7 and made it hard to sleep

The location was good, a few hundred meters from the central streets and town beaches. The two brothers were very kind and supportive in helping us with assistance and reservations.

No air conditioning in any of the rooms. In the hot summer months, this was difficult to bear. The owners promised that they would get it fixed in the future. The drainage in one of the bathrooms was clogged.

A great, spacious apartment close to the beach and historic Tropea. There are two small supermarkets virtually outside the front door. The apartment is very comfortable and clean. As a family of four we had ample space. It is dated but this adds to its charm. There is a bonus of a patio with table and chairs and space to dry clothes. We found the washing machine very useful after a day at the beach. The owner is lovely and responds to any requests. We had a fantastic holiday in beautiful Tropea.

No air con but large fans provided in every room.

The only good thing was the location - close to the beach and the town center.

Our stay had many issues that made it uncomfortable: No air conditioner – had to sleep with windows open, very noisy. Shower cabin leaks, no curtain on tub, slow drains, bidets don’t work. One toilet had no seat - fixed a few days after we asked. Dusty dishes not freshly cleaned. Old stove, no microwave, kettle only brought after request. Weak Wi-Fi, overly complex password, TV didn’t work at first. Used toiletries and old coffee left from past guests. No coffee/tea, no paper towels, little detergent, missing kitchen tools, poor corkscrew. No plug adapters, fans didn’t work until we asked for adapters. Fridge wouldn’t close, second fridge broken. Power tripped several times. Kitchen tap leaks. Lack of proper trash bags for sorting, though host asked us to sort. Only 1 set of keys provided at check-in; got the 2nd only after asking. Abandoned building next door. Some issues were fixed after complaints, but overall poorly prepared and maintained. Would not recommend without major improvements.

We were picked up at the station by Maria Elena. She spoke English to us, which was a bonus. The property was amazing. Quite large, especially the main bedroom and the eat-in kitchen. There was also a livingroom, which we didn't use, but it would be great for a family or larger group. The kitchen was very well-equipped. The terrace outside the kitchen was beautiful. Thankfully, we had good weather and were able to make full use of the space. It had a lemon tree with the largest lemons I've ever seen and we were encouraged to use them if we wanted to. It was a short walk to the historic center where we found a large variety of shops and restaurants. Tropea is such a beautiful town - very clean, friendly, picturesque. This apartment did not disappoint, in fact, it far exceeded our expectations.

Spacious flat with representative living room and a yard to sit in. Cheap and very near the historical center.

A hundred years ago it could be nice new apartment. However now it’s worn out, the air is stale (installed fragrance sticks didn’t help much) and unfortunately it was not very clean. There were some strange things. For instance there were two bathrooms. The first with dirty bathtub and WC without toilet seat, and the other with no ventilation but with the only window leading to the common staircase inside the house. Or WiFi with 25 characters password, part of the time not working. No electric kettle, no microwave. But the worst thing was a noisy engine (maybe water pump) behind the wall of one of the bedrooms. It worked irregularly through the whole night and it was almost impossible to sleep there even with ear plugs.
