Beautiful and relaxing location, cool natural pool, big room with all utensils you need to cook a meal.

The kitchen could have some basic ingredients needed for cooking (e.g oil, salt, pepper) so not every guest needs to buy it and toss it, adding a sustainable thinking. The prices for the tasting and wines were very high compared to other quintas and natural wines.

The stay at Quinta Vila Rachel was over any expectation. Beautiful accommodations in old buildings refurnished to modern standard. Quality everywhere. Super nice, plentiful and healthy breakfast delivered to the terrace in the morning. The organic pool was a nice experience and was. Lovely to swim in. We highly recommend to join both the farm tour and the wine tasting. We learned a lot about the importance of biodiversity and organic wine farming, and the wines were truly tasteful and high quality. Brought some home. The 200 year history of the farm and historically known people living there was also interesting. A lot of art to see. The farm is situated with fantastic views of the Douro valley and river. Of course a car is useful to explore the surroundings more since this is the countryside. Remember to bring amenities you would need from a store in Alijo before you arrive. Also get advice from the owner were to drive to experience the most spectacular views.
