Cosy 2 bed flat near train station Basingstoke with FREE Parking!

Was close to the train station and shops bars and came with secure parking so saved the cost of parking for the whole weekend.

The property is really in need of a deep clean the outside of the building is completely covered in scaffolding which I wasn’t made aware of before stay this prevents you from opening windows and balcony door so apartment is hot and stuffy and the little you can open the windows blows dust and dirt in .

Furnishings are cheap and kitchen equipment and utensils poor

It would have been better to have been told about the scaffolding around the building earlier than the day before travelling. It has obviously been there for some time and looks like it will be for a while yet.

Great location, spacious comfortable accommodation, onsite parking , lots of hot water , great security and really good clear directions from owners supported by photos .

There was no dishwasher , although it was listed in the details of the property , some areas in the kitchen work top z& wall above bin could have been cleaner . En-suite shower had a very , very slow drain and the scaffolding around the premises meant we could not open windows or use the outside balcony.

Being left with about few sheets of toilet paper after a 6 hour journey with 4 people, luckily supermarket was 5 mins away. Building works starting at 0700 right outside the apartment daily, looks like work on the outside of the building will be there for a while. Being informed on the day of arrival that a request made 5 weeks prior to extend the stay had been declined even though the communicated request was agreed upon before formal request via the platform.

The location is perfect. Shops and fast food are just 1 minute walk from the apartments, the property looks amazing, spacious and clean also nice view

There is nothing I didn’t like

We had to book this property last minute at 9pm for a same night stay, as another booking we had was not answering calls/messages for us to get in the property. The host was very quick in providing us with check in info so late at night. The property was very clean and well stocked. Plenty of space in the apartments, and quick and easy to get into the town and shops. Parking was easily accessible with a fob, for very secure underground parking. Considering we were right opposite the train station and busy road (cars & people), the double glazing blocks out all noise! Overall, a very comfortable stay, and I would book again if I return.

The only slight issue I would point out, and I apologise, I should have messaged the host, was the master bedroom double bed needs fixing. It might just be loose bolts, but every time you make a slight movement or turn over, the noise the bed makes….
