Susy Baroque near Beach & Etna by Wonderful Italy

Our host Maria e Francesco were very helpful! they let us check in earlier, they give advice on where to go or eat.Francesco drive us to and from Taormina, picked us up from and to airport. The apartment is near the sea and the town centre, good and cheap restaurants are 10 minutes walk, also the bars near the apartment (especially the white bar down the road ,near the roundabout) were very cheap and they had variety of sweets for colazione. There were fruits available to buy on the street,very tasty and also a Panificio /paninoteca (Rustico catanese) down the street that had great calzone,sandwiches cheap and water from fridge. Apartment had washing machine,iron, microwave, coffee machine tv conditional air,was perfect for 4 persons.

The free beach was not clean,however the water was clean and perfect. If you go a bit down the beach you can find lido azzuro private beach with lounges and umbrella, we paid €25 for 2 person and is clean and perfect, there is entertainment and also tehy have food and bars with decent price (€30 for pasta,potatoes, cotoleta,chicken breast,greens and asparagus for 2 persons plus 1 beer). Or if you don't want to pay the fee for lido azzuro you can come with your towel in front of this private beach and no one will tell you nothing.

Nice place to stay lovely view at etna !!! Place was clean and well equipped for every day use..: close to nice restaurants 10 min and the castle!!! Thank you

- place is spotless clean - towels, pots & pans, microwave, coffee machine, washing machine - you have everything you need for a comfortable stay - we were traveling with a 10 month baby, and the hosts were able to accommodate a crib - gorgeous view towards Etna - surprisingly safe (despite how the neighborhood seems at first sight) - the host was very nice and helped us with airport transfer as we had a very early flight - good price for the location (10 min to center)

- The neighborhood doesn't look safe,there are a lot of run-down buildings, lots of trash on the streets (the famous trash of Sicily 😁 ) BUT it is actually safe and you see people on the streets and children playing outside at all hours. All the streets are well lit and quite lively. - I do not recommend it for people with baby strollers. The apartment is on the 4th floor and the last bit you need to go outside on the balcony to reach the apartments. But hey, you do this for 7 days, you will have some great muscles!!

Location is good, near the Castelo Ursino and the town center. The apartment is very nice, clean, restored and has everything you need. Matilde, Maria, Francesco, Ricardo are always ready to help and to give you valuable information. Before our arrival they sent us detailed description of places, where to eat and what to visit and how to get there, which was very helpful. We were happy to be there during the eruption of Etna and had satisfaction to watch it through telescope on the balcony which was very exciting. Wifi was exelent. Our staying there was very pleasant.

Very dirty neighbourhood with a lot of garbage on the streets.
