The apartment is well equipped house part located directly on the beach of Mar Menor (Playa de Punta Brava). The representative of the owner is a helpful person, who has showed us around in the house. The rooftop is really nice, however we did not take advantage of it. The whole neighborhood is very peaceful.

When we wrote about the peaceful neighborhood, we mean it literally: there is not much going on in Los Urrutias. Whoever is interested in shopping, beach- and night life, is advised to select a different location.

The location right on the water.

A very quiet location. The beds were comfortable and the blinds worked well keeping the light out so we both slept really well The apartment was well equipped and we enjoyed the choice of three terraces. Two overlook the sea and it was a pleasure to sit out and watch the world go by. The locals are very friendly! On street parking was very easy

Nothing we didn't particularly like. However, a car is needed. The nearest supermarket is a short drive away and there are few bars/restaurants within walking distance. We were out of season so this may very well be different in July and August. We did find a lovely Spanish bar open at lunchtime about a 20 minute walk away. Other than that there are several English bars catering for the large ex pat community. However, Cartagena is only 20 minutes away. Personally, I would give Los Alcazares and La Manga a wide berth. Small planes travelling overhead Monday to Friday can be a little noisy The apartment would benefit from mirrors in the bedrooms as the only one is on the bathroom cabinet. Do follow the pin dropped by Brian, otherwise Google maps will take you to the wrong place.

The sea front location is ideal with stunning views out over the Mar Menor where you can watch the sunrise each morning. Outdoor space is excellent with front, rear and roof terraces to make the most of the good weather. Both bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space for clothes. The neighbourhood is very quiet which is what we were looking for however there are a few restaurants and a convenience shop within walking distance of the property. The paved walkway in front of the property offers a lovely seafront walk where we got close to a whole host of birds including the odd Flamingo.

The only change we would have liked to see would be the fitting of a full sized oven and hob. We managed with the two rings and the counter top oven but it was a struggle at times especially for longer rentals like ours where we were cooking for ourselves most nights.

It was all very clean.. The kitchen was fine and the shower and air con worked well. And the sunrise was beautiful - that was the only thing we really liked.

It wasn’t a beach house as such for a start. It was a house divided into 4 apartments each with just one barred window facing the beach. . It didn’t make the most of its position facing the inland sea as it would have with big patio doors for example - so the kitchen/lounge area was quite dark. From a practical point of view it needs a bit of TLC - the back door handle came off in your hand, the tv clicker had no batteries in it, the toaster made all the electrics in the apartment short so it couldn’t be used, the roof terrace parasol had a smashed base so couldn’t be used and the broken bits were just left lying around. Also they TV wires were all exposed which don’t look very safe for example if you had young children with you.

Nothing, everything was AWSOME. Maybe , more things at the kitchen , i mean kitchen tools.

Wonderful location. Sunrise every morning can be catch. There are three out-spaces, two balcons and large terrace on the roof with a beautiful view. Recommend visit La Manga nearby.
