The view (once you have arrived, but see my negative comments)

The management company. One air-conditioning unit in a bedroom stopped working on night 1 and MyHomeinComo spent the rest of the week doing nothing about it. They "couldn't find an engineer" and they failed to deliver a promised fan because they were "too busy". The property owner needs to review his use of this company, as they provided literally the worst experience I have ever had abroad. They are currently ignoring my requests to consider compensation. The property description also needs to highlight that the view comes with a steep hike up many steps, or needs a car. Menaggio really does not have a viable taxi service at all and in the recent heat, the steps are a significant challenge with bags.

Location and View is great which I think is what you're paying for here. It was nice also to get away from the crowd to be able to have a quiet place to be.

A rental car is definitely necessary if you want to enjoy and be able to get food/drinks from the grocery store for this. Think of this like an AirBnB. Also, there is a bit of bug problem which was annoying. We needed to meet in Como for the keys which was out of the way and seemed unnecessary. It also took forever to figure out the A/C and the place never got below 28C! I live somewhere hot and not having A/C below 28C seems insane to me.

My wife and I are very frequent travelers with the Booking.com's Genius Level 3. This time we had our worst experience to check into the property. First of all, the property management requested almost all of our personal info including face image on-line before check in, which already caused a lot hussles during travel. More than that, on the way we drove to Como Lake, we were requested to get to the management office to pick up key, while the office is located in a different town by at least 45 minutes driving to the property. We can not imagine what if we did have a car or we did have enough time to go the office on the day. Actually, the office did not have a key but just wanted to see us in person. What a stupid procedure!!!

Lovely clean apartment with the most amazing views of Menaggio and surrounding lake areas. Staff were fabulous and available with quick responses. It has everything you need.

Only one thing. It doesn't have any warm blankets for on top of your bedding or for having around you when it's cool. Heating is set independently to moderate, which on cold days feels a little cool inside not warm. Just needs 2 blankets or thick throw rugs for additional comfort for travellers coming from warmer climates. Apart from that all fabulous.

The name of the property perfectly reflects our stay. Great contact with customer service, a well-equipped apartment with a stunning view, parking space in the garage, quiet area and easy access to the town center. We will definitely visit this apartment again!

Great location! Very close to the main area of Menaggio, super clean, spacious, and well decorated! Staff was very accommodating, so fast at replying and always available.

Nothing I did not like! Just a suggestion, have extra blankets and linens available, and perhaps larger coffee mugs for those non-espresso drinking italians ;)
