Maraetai -Kererū Cottage - Whole House

Such a beautiful properly, I couldn’t believe it when I first walked in. It’s located near Maraetai beach and I was stunned by the beautiful blue waters of the sea. I highly recommend staying here, it was so clean, had everything I needed and such a hidden gem.

The site was excellent, cottage excellent, facilities and appliances excellent,

The bed was super hard to sleep on, also was far too low for older folks with bad hips and back problems, also same with the couches and only one face cloth and one towel per person was not good enough for two nights, also the stairs for health and safety reasons needs a hand rail.

Accommodation was less than 5mins to our 60th birthday location we were attending. It was also well appointed for a stay for much longer than what we were staying which was sadly only overnite. But we would highly recommend staying again as had all the amenities to do so like full operating kitchen, washing machine with wash line, private outdoor sitting & eating area. It was also suitable for me to navigate on crutches adequately, even the small stairs between the 2 levels between living area & bedroom & had a bathroom with a open wet room shower that was big enough for me to sit a stool in. Also had a walk in wardrobe with plenty closet space & full length mirror for the ladies. We also found it was so very peaceful, private with native trees around & a very lovely location with the sounds of native birds to wakeup to in the morning & in the early evening as well. It was just a lovely experience that we loved every minute of our we stay.

Only thing that I mentioned in a personal note to owner was that the height of bathroom mirror was too high for average person. She was very happy to receive this comment & would be addressing it.

Location was perfect for us as came up for a family celebration, short walk to the beach was a bonus
