Two Four Four, holiday home in Matlock

Everything was great, we spent 8 working weeks here and really felt at home, parking was good as you have 2 side streets and some times the front main road to choose from. Would really recommend as we stayed in the main town previously but found the hills to much after a day's work and this area is quiet and flat. Many thanks for the lovely stay, Regards Gary & Jack.

Very cosy ideal for our 1 night stay. Lovely comfy beds , plenty of hot water and heating on , which was fabulous on such a cold evening. Thank you

Parking facilities ....couldn't be helped we parked just up the road as the grass verge was very muddy with the constant rain. Also the stairs are very steep. My friend and I managed with o/night bags. Would've struggled with larger bags up to bedrooms.

A truly wonderful stay at 244 in Matlock. The property felt like a haven from the moment I arrived – calm, welcoming and exactly what I needed. Everything was beautifully clean, comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, with every detail clearly labelled so settling in felt effortless. The host has clearly thought of everything. Towels were ready, even for the dogs, dog bowls and poo bags were provided, and the space was organised in a way that made the whole experience feel easy and relaxed. The property matched its description perfectly and felt scrupulously clean throughout. The location was ideal for exploring Winsley and Darley Dale, with a bus stop just down the road and convenient parking available on the nearby side street. All in all, an excellent stay and a place I would happily return to.

There was very little to fault at 244. The stairs are quite steep, which is typical for a property of this type. They were perfectly usable with a good bannisters and did not detract from the stay in any way, though it may be helpful for guests with limited mobility to be aware in advance. Overall, everything about the property was exactly as I could have wished.
