The caravan was beautiful and very modern. Every facility is there, we never had to take a thing other than clothes. The shower is 5* luxury! Well placed for long drives and trips to somewhere like Portpatrick. Slept like babies all weekend. The outdoor area had lovely furniture and spectacular views. Perfect weather! Other camp regulars made us very welcome. On arrival, there was a beautiful welcome pack.

I loved the setting and tranquility but it is too far to walk to Ballantrae. Only on small shop there. Pub was never open when we did pop down. Very little to do. On site bar was only open now and then. Bar and kitchen staff were not very welcoming at all.

The property was in a nice position, well kitted out and very clean. If you are looking to switch off from a busy life this is a great spot.

The caravan itself was in great condition, however lots around were quite run down and the site itself felt a bit tired. Due to the location and respect for nature (lots of lovely rabbits running about) there wasn’t anywhere we could let our puppy off the lead.

Host left easy instructions to access the property, location was amazing. The gift pack left by the host was so thoughtful and welcoming. There were toys and activities left for children to use during their stay. The kitchen was surprisingly well equipped which made the stay even more pleasant. I cant recommend this host or accommodation enough for anyone wanting wonderful local views and activities. The park itself was lovely and rural with the local bunnies everywhere, which the children loved. It was quiet, relaxing and truly amazing stay. I hope to return soon and explore more of the local areas.

How to find the actual mobile home, it was slightly confusing as there were deer decorations and we didn't read our instructions properly and we got confused, but that's our issue not the hosts, luckily other people staying had a site map. So other than maybe having access to one of those, our stay couldn't of been improved apart from extending how long we were there for.

We liked the location the layout & spacious open plan design. The shower was great as it was double & we liked the fact that everything was catered for so no need to bring any bedding, towels or cooking items everything you could ever need was supplied even the use of scooters for the kids & plenty of games & books to choose from.

I don’t think there is anything negative we could say about it

A perfect location as it a panoramic view of the area and it was nicely out of the way from the hustle and bussle of normal life. Situated ideally for people who want to discover the West Coast of Scotland but want to take it at their own leisure as there are so many places of interest within driving distance plus you still get to return to a picturesque spot to relax in.

Nothing as it is ideal for a group of people who want to enjoy the quiet life but still want to venture out and see what places of beauty and interest the West Coast of Scotland has to offer.

Kates Home was delightful . It was plenty big enough for a family of Four had everything we needed to make the stay enjoyable and easy for us. Beds were comfy and the home was cosy and warm and immaculately clean. A thoughtful gift of treats welcomed us on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The views from the home are stunning and the site is quiet and peaceful. Ballantrae is so pretty with a great pub serving very tasty food . Surrounding beaches are a must to visit. Local residents were friendly and helpful. I’d certainly recommend Kates house to others.

The lady who owns the property is lovely she left sweets and bottle of wine for us so welcoming the caravan was lovely inside and had lovely area to sit outside made our stay very enjoyable

Lovely location, don't blindly follow Google maps and you'll find it easily enough (it kept trying to take us down private driveways and roads). The site was very quiet but only 10 minutes from a Co-Op for essentials. The caravan was clean and well presented and well stocked with books, games and few DVD's. Likewise the kitchen was well stocked with cookware and utensils plus a few cooking basics. We had a great time and would happily come back again for another stay.

The site is a bit of a pain to navigate first time around, I spotted another person who couldn't make sense of the numbering either. That's not the caravan owners fault and their instructions for finding the caravan got us in the right area so it's not a big deal, you can only do so much without a picture.
