The host asked me for the $500 deposit which is much more than the cost of rent and picture of my international goverment issued ID which seemed like a scam to me. They did not give me the passcode until the last day, then when i tried to issue the problem to booking.com and tried to cancel the reservation, they still wanted to get my ID sent via picture. If they were that sus about us, they could meet up with us when checking in and check the ID in person. I do not trust the host. I decided not to stay here even though I lose one night rent, it's better to lose $200 than $500 after all

Es gab keine Klimaanlage nur einen Ventilator, das Haus hat praktisch keine Isolation ist also bei Hitze sehr heiss und wenn es regnet sehr kalt. Das Haus ist sehr hellhörig; Hühner wecken einen bereits früh am Morgen; man hört auch sonst alle Geräusche der Natur (Frösche, Vögel etc.) Aussenstühle & Tisch sehr unbequem und kalt, der Lack löst sich von den Stühlen, sonst keine Möglichkeit Draussen zu Sitzen. Der Wasserdruck in der Dusche ist instabil und schwach, Temperatur schwankt. Die Jalousinen waren teilweise stark beschädigt. Wir wurden beschuldigt, Geschirr geklaut/kaputt gemacht zu haben! Ich empfehle jedem unbedingt Fotos vom ganzen Haus machen - insbesondere vom Geschirr! Die Kaution wurde erst eigene Anfrage zurückerstattet und das angeblich nicht mehr vorhandene Geschirr wurde belastet. Der Eigentürmer hat uns nie über das Geschirr und die Gebühr informiert, wir mussten selbst nachfragen! Als wir reklamierten, erhielt ich teilweise tagelang keine Antwort oder wurde vertröstet, dass sich jemand bald meldet. Diese Erfahrung war sehr enttäuschend. Achtung: Die Kaution kann gemäss Eigentümer nur via Paypal hinterlegt werden, dabei müssen die Gäste die Kosten für Kreditkarten übernehmen! (Bzgl. Paypal wurden wir erst kurz vor Anreise informiert.) Man muss sich bewusst sein, dass sich viele Attraktionen auf der anderen Inselseite befinden und die Fahrt 2 Stunden dauern kann. Ich würde die Unterkunft nicht mehr buchen, da sie für mich zu abgeschieden ist, einige kleine Dinge verbessert werden könnten und vor allem das Verhalten des Eigentümers sehr enttäuschend war.

A pesar de haber pagado por adelantado y tener el check in a las 16 h, enviaron el código de entrada a las 21 h y tuvimos que esperar 45 minutos desde nuestra llegada sin poder entrar. El apartamento es muy pequeño y, cuando abres el sofá, no se puede pasar al baño. Querían cobrarnos 500 $ de fianza y entregaron el apartamento con 3 persianas rotas, golpes en la nevera y un agujero en la pared. Además encontramos el cartón de un rollo de papel higiénico, un chupete y una bolsa de plástico al abrir el sofá. Imagino que quieren quedarse con la fianza de cada uno que se aloja aquí. No funcionaba el agua caliente y sólo había una sábana para el sofá. El agua del grifo es de lluvia por lo que no se puede beber. No tiene una triste mesa donde comer. El apartamento que nunca recomendaría. Había 3 vasos, una taza y 5 platos para 3 personas.

Bien équipé (barbecue, grande terrasse, lave-linge et sèche-linge)

Le logement n'est absolument pas adapté pour 4 personnes (nous avions bien indiqué le nombre de personnes lors de la réservation). Il y a bien un canapé-lit mais il est très inconfortable et en mauvais état. Il y a seulement 3 chaises autour de la table sur la terrasse et toute la vaisselle pour 3. Il n'y a pas d'eau potable, seulement de l'eau de pluie pour les douches, la vaisselle (cela aurait dû être précisé lors de la réservation). Le logement est très éloigné d'un centre de vie, à 15 min en voiture du premier supermarché. Le check-in ne se fait pas en présentiel, il faut avoir un compte PayPal et une connexion internet pour recevoir les instructions.

This was the best place where we stayed during our Hawaii islands trip. We loved the quiet nights and crisp mornings with birds chirping. This part of Keaau is called Hawaiian Paradise Park and this is what it really is. The small cottage had all we needed. I value the way the rain water is collected and used in the household. I can really recommend this place.

The washer & The Grill

Don’t believe any of the other Reviews! It was extremely Dirty and unfortunately not prepared for the 4people we booked. Its pretty small, so it should Not be possible to Book for more than 2 people. when the sofabed is extended, nobody can Walk to the bathroom anymore. Even the pictures on Booking are wrong, it Shows 4 Cups/plates…we booked for 4 people and we only got 3 Cups, 3 plates. Furthermore,the sofabed wasn‘t prepared so 2 of 4 people had no sheets or pillows. We mentioned it immediately, but didn’t get any for the first night. There is no dining table inside and no toaster. The Location is also pretty Remote, I thought it would be good cause it’s quiet, but we couldn‘t sleep all night and thus left early (which we never had to do before at any hotel). unfortunately, water Pumps were running the whole night, the roaster was loud as well for hours and a light was on all Night, shining into the bedroom (appartment unfortunately has no black-out curtain).

It was very comfortable and clean. They owners did a great job communicating via email about what to do at check in, available during our stay, and gave instructions for check out. They also offered coffee, and shower soap, shampoo & conditioner. They even provided make up remover pads!
