La Foresteria Planeta Wine Resort & Beach Club

Everything. The food, the staff, the location, the wine, the cooking class, the pool, the view, the comfortable room. We left La Foresteria to visit Mt. Etna. Our entire family was sad to say goodbye. A rare and exquisite spot. We will def come back.

This is a first time event- giving a perfect score. Liked it all.

The view from the infinity pool overlooking the vineyards was stunning. Needless to say the Planeta Brut at the bar was always refreshing. They have a splendid private beachclub within 10min drive and we had dinner there. The Birthday dinner in the main restaurant was a delight. Staff were friendly and helpful. Their herbal garden is a delight to walk through. The room and the bed are comfortable

Although a minor point, the bathroom could use an update (Everything was nice and functional).

Great food and wines, quite, away from it all.

Location was very good.

The room was supposed to be air conditioned. The air conditioner did not work for our entire stay. All we got was excuses from staff but no action to fix. The weather was warm and at night the room was stuffy which required the door to the outside to be open. Not ideal for security

We spent the last night of our 10 day Sicily Trip at La Foresteria as a highlight to end our trip. The hotel is beautifully located in south Sicily close to Menfi and has amazing views over vineyards and the coast. In Mid April the hotel was very calm but there were still enough guests around so you didn't feel lonely :) The food and wine were excellent and everyone treated our little son (3 years old) super nicely with a lot of patience although he was one of the few kids around.

The breakfast was really great! The only thing a hotel of this class could change is to offer freshly made eggs for free. Hard-boiled eggs are included in the price but you need to pay extra for freshly-made egg dishes (e.g. scrambled eggs, etc).

There was an enormous buffet of cold foods. Fresh fruit, cold cuts, cheeses, vegetables and pastries. If you wanted to have a cooked breakfast of eggs or omelettes or pancakes it was an extra payment. The dinners at La Foresteria were amazing.

That cooked breakfast was an extra payment. The room rate is quite high and other places at this rate provide a cooked breakfast.
