Room 3 minute drive from Luton Airport

The only bonus was the proximity to the long stay car park… that’s it!

AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID ! Firstly you are not given the exact address until the day of your stay which should have rung alarm bells immediately ! Upon arrival there is a parking space in front of the property, however there was a car blocking the drive. When it eventually moved it then re-parked almost directly behind me and made it exceedingly difficult to reverse out. You are given a whole list of instructions about entering via the side garden gate with a keypad lock, then another lock code to enter the front door and a further code to enter your allocated room. The accommodation is not within a house but rather a ramshackle shack in the back garden. When you enter this prefabricated building the first thing that meets you the tiny communal toilet and single shower room.. what hits you first is the strong smell of urine and weed! I very quickly got the impression that this is also used by “longer term” residents (although just my suspicions). The room itself was shabby to say the least with creaking and poorly fitted flooring. The bed… well I think it must have been a 30 year old mattress as there was not a single piece of padding or support. All you could feel is springs. Due to the fact that the entire structure is just thin stud walls, then the noise was horrendous. Doors banging, floors creaking, people snoring…all night long. I couldn’t wait to leave and actually vacated hours before I was due at the airport. NEVER EVER AGAIN !!! To top it all off the owner then called me directly on my personal number asking for an explanation as to why he received such a poor rating… HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE!
