The Rock Samui Beachfront Resort - Sha Plus Hotel

Nice room, real beach front! Location is good if you want to chill - beach is secluded by the rocks on both sides; the downside, to go to main Lamai area you need to drive. Staff is fantastic! Super friendly and helpful. Overall, we’ve enjoyed our stay.

Room was fine, but surrounding area (lawn in front, hall, reception etc) would benefit from some renovation/upgrade

Beach in front of the hotel was quite shallow especially during low tide, so we took an opportunity to explore the area around Lamai.

Our experience at The Rock in Koh Samui was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The view from the accommodation is truly breathtaking – waking up to that stunning beachfront felt like a dream. It honestly looks like something out of heaven! The room itself was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. You can tell a lot of thought goes into every detail here. A special shoutout to Chow, who made our stay even more memorable. Her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine warmth added so much value to our trip – she truly goes above and beyond for guests, and we’re so grateful for her presence throughout our stay. If you’re considering a stay in Koh Samui, don’t hesitate – The Rock is a slice of paradise you’ll never forget.

If you are a light sleeper, consider bringing ear plugs. You can hear the waves pretty well and also a lot of jungle noises from the nearby trees. Could be a positive for some people :)

Perfect location, we could see the beach from our bedroom window. Staff were really helpful and friendly, provided assistance whenever required. You can also wash your clothes for free on the roof of the property. The outside bath is fab too!

Very clean and well-maintained, friendly staff and felt especially taken care of by Jerome and team. The room was right in front of the private beach and could not ask for a better wake up than to the sound and sight of gently crashing waves.

We (2 couples) had booked an apartment with two bedrooms for a week. "Unfortunately" our apartment was under renovation, so we got an upgrade to the large villa with the private pool instead. I'm sure the stay would have been amazing in the apartment, but this upgrade made our stay an experience for life! Such a beautiful and spacious villa made into the rocks. Great bedrooms, nice kitchen. An amazing pool and spacious roof terrace. The staff was very friendly and helpful and was even sorry that we didn't get the apartment we had booked.
