Charming Vacation House 3Be 2Ba Solar heated pool

Loved the property, it was clean, had everything we needed for our family vacation.

Could have done with a few more towels and toilet rolls.

It was nice and cozy on the outside round the pool

I reported that one of the bed rooms had bed bugs and there response was go and by some insect spray and spray the bed and not use that bedroom. That was so unprofessional to me so when I ask can we get at least some of the money back they wasn’t willing to accommodate our stay or anything

Reality is out of all the homes we have rented on booking this one has definitely been the worse one Refrigerator ice maker and water not, working, And I don’t think they have any plans on fixing it, because I read a review that had the same complain, House does not smell clean at all, when you walk in it smells like old dirty carpet, and they have 4/5 different types of carpet, as soon as you walk in, they have a paper that is supposed to give you network and password to internet, does not even work, there are no tv’s in 2 of the 3 bedrooms, house has like 7 different floors and when you step it feels like you are going to fall, and this happened in all parts of the house, Hot water takes for ever !!about 15 minutes to kick in so we could take a bath. Tub hot water not working😳 And last but not least, this home literally has the oldest most outdated decorations, and furniture, of all types of color flowers no blinds just curtains, basically everywhere, The entry living room has modern furniture but has absolutely nothing to do with the home, super weird. And I wrote, an email, texted, and called the contact numbers to the owners the first day I arrived stayed from Sunday until wensday and they send a text through what’s up! That I. Ever saw

House was in a nice location aesthetically clean.

The ice maker didn't work. The water didn't work coming out of the refrigerator, refrigerator was missing shelves. Very limited space to put food. Could only use one of the two toilets for a day because it backed up. Panels falling from the outside of the building. The master bathroom smell like urine. In the wooden or laminate floors were warped in most of the rooms.

It was nice to have a pool for the children to enjoy at anytime.

I booked this accommodation months in advance because it was near my son and had a heated pool. They use the word “solar” then “heated”. I bought it but really it was not a heated pool at all so the title of this is very misleading. Additionally messages from the “owner” were cut and past boiler plate about no parties no smoking and fines in addition to no warmth or understanding at all and I even explained I was with my 77 year old parents and 9 year old son several times. So when I arrived I immediately checked the pool having already checked with the owner upon arrival to make sure the “solar heated pool” was working. Guess what? It was cold and I was lied to and not pleased especially given it was communicated that everything was fine with the pool. So the owner told me, with her husband yelling in the background” that they would come look at the solar heating system or whatever and he said it was working. At that point my guests had not arrived and I made peace with these owners but knew that we were not going to have a heated pool. During our conversation I learned that they had recently gotten off Air BnB and started with booking.com because of past issues with guests having parties and destroying their place. This same fear was made clear in our interactions even though I had explained our purpose was a family visit. It’s like she didn’t trust me and thought I was rude because of the “solar heated pool”, so prior to meeting in person she called booking.com to cancel my reservation and some man named John with an Indian accent called me on a number from Akron Ohio and he told me I was rude to the owner and that he was canceling my reservation then he hung up on me. Regardless I met the owners in person and smoothed it over and mentioned to them at the end of the in person meeting that a man had called and said he was cancelling the booking and she seemed surprised by this and told me she would speak to booking.com.

We are currently sitting at a “temperature controlled pool” on December 31st in Key Largo. It is cool out but the water is 80 degrees. A solar heated pool as a description is false advertising. Also we didn’t like the way I was treated by booking.com and as a monthly traveler I will no longer be using this service.
