Kuching Tabuan Tranquility Apartment TT3 Soho C11

For us the location was perfect, it's nowhere near the old town but it has everything around it for a long term stay, lots of restaurants, bars, parking is included, there's a nice pool and the gym is decent. As for the apartment the sofa was very comfortable, it's spacious and it has a lovely view of the distant hills. WiFi is included and it's good.

The kitchen was very poorly equipped, there wasn't even a bowl or a single knife, there was only 1 small frying pan and no glasses at all so immediately we had to go to the local store and buy a few things. Also there was no way to toast any bread other than in the frying pan. The hob was strange in that in order to turn it on you had to get on your hands and knees to flick a switch and if you didn't turn it off in the same way it just continues to flash. There were no tea towels provided either and the body towels were travel microfiber and poor for the job. There's a washing machine which is nice but nowhere to hang clothes to dry or hooks anywhere or towel rail to hang anything. Personally I would have liked some basic chair at least in order to enjoy the balcony but there was nowhere to sit. It could be so much better with just some basic equipment. Despite this we did really enjoy our stay and would return .

The property was in a good location. Although a bit far from the centre of Kuching, it was easy to find good food. The apartment was a corner apartment, and it had an excellent view of the surroundings, and straight to the mountains. The facilities provided were also great.

It would be preferable for the owner to provide us with the check-in details a day prior to the stay instead of the day itself.
