Quite private little area with bbq pit. We have seen squirrels in the morning having while breakfast. Cabin is clean. All utensils we need is there to cook. Peaceful chill stay if you want to just relax and go out for nice walks or visit castles.

"Really lovely place, great hosts and good location."

9.0

Really cool little place to stay, they had left milk and bread for us along with milk and butter. Check in was super easy and it was lovely having the chickens close by too!

My only critique would be the linen was a bit rough and there wasn’t any shampoo/body wash I could see.

Lovely setting and peaceful. Also watching the chickens. Nice touch leaving bread, milk, butter and eggs.

Could only get the hob to work once. They did say it was tricky. Maybe that needs to be looked at.

"Perfect location at Rose Hideaway"

10.0

This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay, quiet, enough room for myself and my two collies, the bread, eggs, milk are a really nice touch and I always stay here when in the area. There is also a lovely paddock to give the dogs a run.

Nothing - absolutely perfect

"Just beautiful, I wanted a little break in a peacfile setting and this was just what I needed"

10.0

The location was just what I needed peaceful and scenic The cottage was ideal all the faculties you needed for your stay. The bread milk butter and eggs from their chickens were a beautiful touch from your hosts Dog friendly as well so my pup had a wonderful stay as well and spent quite some time sitting watching the chickens wondering what strange dogs were these If you are looking for a place to stay for two plus dog whilst visiting the Forest of Dean area then you couldn’t find a better location and hosts Wonderful 10/10 across the board and will certainly look to be returning

Nothing it was spot on

"Cosy and perfect"

10.0

The little biscuits, the games and films, the little comforting homely bits, the recliner sofa was amazing, the fairy lights around the hut, privacy, even the chickens, the maps and leaflets, the welcoming book and front message. Alot of thought and kindness has gone into this cosy cabin and it is beautiful.

"Hideaway"

10.0

The location, absolutely fantastic plenty of walking for the dogs, an extra field for the dogs along with the garden, the dogs were so relaxed, the lay out of the cottage the extra touches of bread eggs and milk. Brought some eggs to take home thank you

Could have done with extra shelves or side tables having drawers for clothes. Otherwise we loved everything
