Ocean-view Oasis in Palmas Del Mar with pool and beach access

The location and amenities and the decor were spectacular!👍🏼😄

The main bed was not comfortable because the mattress was spongy and too soft due to us having back issues. We are used to sleeping on a king bed with a firm mattress similar to a hotel bed. Also the couch can use a cleaning, otherwise the apt is very comfortable, well equipped, and the view is spectacular.

Qué los cuartos de dormitorios tienen tv, pero no están disponibles y por ende si quieres ver la televisión todos los huéspedes qué están contigo tienen qué ver lo mismo, sólo él de la sala está disponible 👎

Muy lindo. Aire en perfectas condiciones para las temperaturas que hay ahora mismo. Se disfrutó mucho de todas las áreas del lugar.

TVs habían 2 que no estaban funcionando pero estaba indicado en el anuncio y el sofá cama está un poco manchado. Entre algunos detallitos que otros inquilinos no cuidaron muy bien pero nada de preocuparse

The location of the apartment (within a complex with restaurants, mini-market, and other services) was very nice. We ate at the different restaurants below the apartment multiple times during our week-long stay. The beach was also within a walking distance. Although there were heavy currents and rip-tide warnings there, we enjoyed walking and relaxing (though we did not do any swimming there). The pool was also wonderful. It wasn't busy and had great views.

We reserved via booking.com, expecting fees to be charged to the card used at checkout. The day of our arrival, our guests (who arrived first) were told they couldn't retrieve the keys until after they paid the full total (plus security deposit) *via paypal*. They did so (since they had no other options, despite thinking we paid in full at the time of booking). The booking.com page noted the deposit total was $250, though the host charged $300 for it via Paypal. When I contacted the host, they said booking.com cannot take cc payments in PR (which seemed suspicious). Upon check-in, we found the condition of the furnishings didn't match the photos. Those must've been a few years old (at least). Everything was still usable, but for a stay at this price, I didn't expect to find stains and tears on the couch, a very rusted shower curtain pole, large pieces of caulk coming off of the base of one toilet (so it wiggled and made noise when sat upon), and the veneers peeling up off the edges of some cabinets. The closets were full of old furniture, so it was difficult to fit clothes or suitcases within. The patio sliding door was VERY hard to open and would come off the track with every other use. Also, on the bunk bed - just fyi that the bottom bunk is a fouton cushion (not a mattress), so not great for adults. That aside, our largest issue was the internet was not functional. We specifically booked this location so that 2 of us would be able to work remotely in the evenings and early morning (so as not to have to take time off work). 2 of us didn't have any cell service in PR and planned to rely on internet at the apt. We immediately contacted the host who provided some information over the next 2 days (though none of it solved the issue). By the 4th day, they noted we would need to call the internet provider to do testing. Unfortunately, they were only open/available during business hours (when we had non-refundable activities booked).

Excellent location with spectacular views! It was a disappointment that the shower did not have hot water to bathe.
