Bay of Islands Apartment On The Water- The Bridge

The actual owners of the property were staying in the downstairs apartment and they were absolutely lovely.

The housekeeping standard was not as good as it could have been. We found leftover hair balls on the carpet in the lounge/living area. The tv remote seemed to need new batteries.

Very unique accomodation in a great location.

Car ferry a little noisy

We loved the entire apartment. The balcony was great to sit on and admire the view! We enjoyed watching the ferry traffic. It was a nice place to base ourselves to explore the area.

As mentioned in previous reviews, the ferry was a little loud early in the morning in one of the bedrooms but we knew that going into renting this place so it didn't bother us.

Great location by water. 10 minute drive to Paihia. Comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen.

It is RIGHT next to the ferry that leaves every 10 minutes the whole day. We got used to it but just know that it’s not as serene and private as it would seem from the pictures and description.

Fabulous location and a very spacious apartment finished to a very high spec. Amazing views in every direction.

Shame the gas barbecue ignition switch had been broken so we couldn’t barbecue but the great kitchen facilities more than compensated. We had one set of very noisy neighbours below us but they responded well when we told them how much noise travelled in the hot weather.

Beautiful apartment and facilities. Very comfortable. Everything you'd need and more to have a great Holiday in the Bay of Islands.

The smaller bedroom would be a challenge to sleep in with the active ferry right out the window. Only HEAVY sleepers will be OK in that room.

It was quiet compared with Paihia. Only a couple of places to eat at but also a shop & coffees.

It is next to the ferry wharf with constant ferries back & forth from a very early start til late at night. The second bedroom is a lot smaller so for two big adults it's tight.
