It's not a luxury chalet, it's a static caravan. It s nice but I don't think it was luxurious
GBThis site is so peaceful. The chalet was lovely & clean . We didnt cook food but the equipment was there if you chose to make your own meals.We totally relaxed. No noisy neighbours to keep you awake at night either. Everything we needed for a short break away. Local town of Dornoch is lovely with local shops, cafes & Dornoch cathedral . You think the cathedral is closed as the doors are shut but thats to preserve the building from the elements so remember to turn the handle. First day we thought it was closed which is why Im mentioning. Highly recommend "Greens" restaurant at The Old Court House. We ate lunch twice at Milk & Honey ....soup both times was yummy(think it was homemade). A visit to Dunrobin Castle is a "must" . Its approx 30min drive from Dornoch but well worth it. We loved the Falcon & Hawk show (outside on the grounds)after we visited the huge castle. The falconer was very knowledgeable about how these birds hunt.
A little further from town centre than we realised but this wasn't really a problem as we had our car. Probably couldve walked into town if weather hadn't been so changeable. Single beds are narrow but again it's a static caravan so no space for full size single beds. No dvd player as advertised (we d taken a few dvds to watch in the evenings) however this didn't affect our stay as we like to read & just chill watching a bit of TV before bed.
GBVery well organised, easy to book, warm welcome. Chalet decorated with obvious thought and and care, to a high standard of comfort and quality. Comfortable beds and really excellent shower. Spotlessly clean. Well located for A9 and Dornoch.
Not really anything to dislike. Pitgrudy is a central place to stay, good view of the firth from its slightly elevated position and a nice quiet place to relax at the end of the day.
