Fantastic location in town, yet tucked quietly back from busy high street. Very comfortably furnished, charming cottage garden, great comms from hosts and lovely little extras. Highly recommended.

Perfect tucked away behind High Street with a lovely little garden our dogs were safely contained in. Indoors it was perfectly decorated and equipped although didn’t cook at all. Out for meals and walks.

Nothing to complain about. Perfect for a family part nearby. Walked back in two minutes from the wine bar.

A 2 story country house with everything a family would need. The first time I find carbon monoxide detector, emergency night lights, first aid kit and child safety gate in a rental. There is a picture perfect garden with outdoor furniture and BBQ stove. We can easily park in front of the house entry and train station is only 10 minutes away. Tuesday is market day and the town is packed with people and buzzing traffic. Restaurant kitchens close at 9 so make sure you make dinner reservations.

The steps leading to the upper floor is a little too narrow. Have to be careful. There is no street number on High Street. Make sure you follow Katie’s map to find the entry gate to the house. It has a very well lit path once you enter. It would be more helpful for some if the ‘Bolt Hole’ marker on the street front is colored or black, just a suggestion.

Location was great! Local buses were easy to catch to local villages. Train to London close. Cottage was kept warm 24/7 Very comfortable bed. Beautiful place, lovely garden. Would definitely stay there again.

It was gorgeous, beautiful garden, tucked away just a second behind the high street. Beautiful decor, warm and comfy, spotlessly clean. No parking, but could park the car very very close by with no charge. Very well equipped, and bottle of wine to greet us. 1 shower room, 1 bathroom with toilet upstairs and a cloakroom downstairs. Lots of extras in kitchen, including dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, cleaning spray, cloths etc. There was also tea, coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and loads of other bits already there. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower, hand soap everywhere. Loved this cottage

The settees were not the comfiest

We had a lovely time in the cottage and were sad to leave. I would highly recommend!

Lovely, comfortable cottage with all the facilties that we needed, especially the comfortable bed and fine shower.
