Room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean.

Shared bathroom, but we knew about that before we went... So not a negative.

"Comfortable accommodation, walking distance to the city, with kitchen and washing facilities"

8.0

This was a very comfortable and convenient place to stay for a few nights while exploring Liverpool. The property is a short walk to the city center, and just around the corner from a large Tesco supermarket. Having a full kitchen was helpful to make my own meals, and the kitchen space was never crowded. The bed and linen were comfortable, and the bathroom was kept clean and stocked with toiletries. The area felt safe to walk around both during the day and at night.

It would have been nice to have the kitchen stocked with a few items such as cling wrap or foil, to wrap food up. The soundproofing wasn't great - I could hear the floor creaking whenever someone used the bathroom or walked past my door, as well as voices from adjoining rooms and other guests opening their doors with the electronic keypads. While communication from the hosts was clear, the tone could be friendlier, and in fact a couple of the messages received were actually condescending. For instance the instruction for getting in the door was to use your palm to activate the keypad, and the message read "it is essential that you understand what a palm is". We're all adults - we can figure out things like this. My room was a little crowded, just big enough for me to lay down my suitcase, and the bedhead had broken away from the base. While it didn't affect my sleep, I was a little worried about sitting up in bed and leaning back.

I like that it is close to the university and to supermarkets especially Tesco and bus station. The kitchen was equipped and there was a living room to eat.

Room I was in was so small it was basically just a bed. I couldnโ€™t even open the door once i opened my suitcase. The rooms had no soundproof whatsoever. I kept hearing moaning and intercourse which was absolutely uncomfortable!
