Wohnungs-Reinigungs-/Bettwäsche-Service alle paar Tage fix wäre sinnvoll ohne darum bitten zu müssen. Wir blieben 2 Wochen.

The apartment was very convenient - near restaurants , beach and small shops. It is ideal for a big family

The lay out of the apartment is not very convenient. The verandah was situated in front of the main bedroom on the first floor. The kitchen was on the ground floor , so for meals everything had to be carried up the stairs. Stairs up to main bedroom and spiral staircase down to two bottom bedrooms. Will not be suitable for older people. Main bathroom had a shower over the bath but no hook for the shower head - so one can only shower while holding the shower in one hand. There was no microwave oven as indicated on booking.com Only one bedside lamp next to double bed

The apartment was very spacious, equipped with everything you need and with the best host, Ioannis, who is absolutely amazing, great communication with him, he's willing to help you with any needs. This accommodation is made of three floors, just a few steps to the beach, supermarket and taverns. In the "underground level", which also has an entrance from the side of the house, there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, on the ground level is the kitchen and living room and on the top level there is another bedroom and bathroom with an entrance to a spacious terrace. Every room has air conditioning.

For people with reduced mobility, one thing can be uncomfortable. The levels of the house are separated by quite steep stairs. Otherwise I have nothing to say against the Anassa home.

Great house. The set up won’t suit everyone as the bedrooms are quite separate but the location is truly exceptional and the living space fantastic. Great communication from host - particularly about the bedrooms being on separate floors. Thank you for making our trip so fabulous. Home now and I don’t think our family will get used to not having the beach 1 minute away tomorrow morning!

Aircon in the basement would be the only possible improvement for us.

The location is really fantastic, a few tens of meters from the beach and close to many good cafes and tavernas. The host was very attentive and responsive.

The house itself is a bit dark inside, and two of the bedrooms do not have AC. They have regular fans, which are just fine; but when it's hot (and it was this weekend), one misses a little AC.

A very nice place, spacious with everything you need! 30 meters from the beach and restaurants, and a super marked even closer. The host was easy to communicate with, and he and his mum did their utmost to make our stay outstanding! She even brought us delicious homemade moussaka one day :D

Makry Gialos is one of the best places I have visited in Crete. Sure, Elafonisi and Balos are the most gorgeous of places but for convenience, a safe shallow beach , cleanliness and facilities, Makry Gialos wins, hands down! Now the property.First of all there was water, fruit and Cretan products from the owner, (Ioannis) and a lovely greeting letter. We were also met by Margarita, Ioannis Mother, who was enthusiastically friendly and her apologies for her lack of understanding English only made her seem lovelier. The property is about 150 metres from the beach and the little streets to get there add to the beauty of the location.it's great to be able to shower on the beach and walk the short distance to the house. It does have a sea view however, do not expect to sit on the terrace and for all of you to be able to see the sea with any ease. The house is quirky with it being on three floors and we loved it however not all of our party thought it was convenient as the only view is on the top floor terrace and you have to go through the top bedroom to get to it.The property was clean and comfortable with the beds having the best pillows I have ever experienced in Crete. Ioannis was at the end of a phone for any problems that we may have had except that there was nothing that we needed to contact him for. If I was you Ioannis, I would do a complete video walkthrough from bottom to top, finishing off with the upstairs terrace so everyone can see how lovely the place is. That way you won't have guests staying, with unrealistic expectations.

There was nothing so bad that would make me not stay again, in fact we didn't really want to leave and could have stayed for the rest of our lives. The biggest bug bear was, a. Finding the place as it's tucked away down a tiny street that has a no entry sign. b Not having parking and having to park away from the property and c. Not having a corkscrew for the bottle of wine we went to open 🤣. Don't worry though, as we went and bought one and left it as a small gift to the house. It does seem that all of the public, pedestrian slopes around the property were very slippery, which is of course nothing to do with the owner but walk on the steps not the slopes. Our friends stayed in the downstairs rooms and would have liked air conditioning but the two fans Ioannis Mother brought for us seemed to do the trick. Luckily it wasn't too hot. The upstairs shower head and shower head holder had a mind of its own when turned off as it always fell from its bracket. The property could do with more cutlery and crockery and dare I say it, a good old slotted toaster and microwave, rather than the pannini grill, sandwich toaster. If we are lucky enough to stay again, I will bring one and leave it there, ( but I won't buy it in Greece as they are only a £10 in the UK.) A couple of the sockets had covers missing and both of the sockets near the sink were a bit close to the sink to be safe. A couple of videos, one showing the Street from the supermarket and one walkthrough of the property would allay any fears or expectations that this review may give but we had the best three days and look forward to going back. I have no idea why I didn't do the video walkthrough myself but I will put it down to old age and having a great time 🤣
