Vintage Chiado 5 - Standard Double Room with Shared Bathroom

The apartment was in a great location close to everything 👌

The property had major issues with maintenance. Broken shower doors replaced with shower curtain and string, leaking shower heads, gas turned off to the entire building so bottled gas only for hot water. No gas meant no oven or gas hobs in the kitchen..One tiny plug in hotplate for up to 12 people using the kitchen, dishwasher broken. One toilet and shower not operational..massive challenge some mornings when all toilets are in the showers and occupied...

Phenomenal location when you want to go out on weekends. Supermarket nearby a bit uphill and plenty of restaurants around. A good place with easy check in - for young people and backpackers overall when you want budget privacy. Apartment gets cleaned well every day.

Facilities were a bit underwhelming. No heater in my room which got a bit chilly sometimes in January. No microwave in the kitchen + even though there's a coffee machine but no coffee. Some chair in the room also would be good.

Good location

These are old, high ceiling buildings, so 4 floors is like 6 -8 floors of newer lower ceiling buildings. . So if you have large piece of luggage, or not fit, then think twice. Also, should be able to collect tax at the time of booking or with credit card. Not cash. Nobody carries cash nowadays. Especially difficult for non EU citizens.

Nice balcony view on the floor we were at, the several shared bathrooms were high quality and the kitchen had everything we needed. Great location!

4th floor was a long walk up but the high views made it so worth it.
