All round excellent

Comfortable room but at the top of two steep flights of stairs - no lift

Better room location Dinner was average Spa treatment room was cold and no way of increasing the temperature when I asked for it

Everything was as we had anticipated. Staff were obviously well trained 9which includes being very pleasant to customers.

Nothing really. We were quite happy with everything.

The food and drinks were exceptional. We had afternoon tea, dinner in the Lounge Bar and the Garden Grill, all delicious. Breakfast was excellent too. We enjoyed our family room space, beds were very comfortable and portable radiator was so handy for the chilly December nights. The only hotel that has decent swim times for children and everything was very clean.

I found the spa very underwhelming. I didn't book any treatments but I found the indoor pool quite dark and it looked tired around the edges. The indoor jaccuzi wasn't hot and some of the jets were not working. The outside jacuzzi and little sauna hut were better. Service for afternoon tea was slow, the pots of tea arrived midway through the meal, which was frustrating. Someone did apologise but it was disapponting to the overall experience. I found the ambience and setting in the Lounge Bar far better than the Garden Grill restaurant.

Lovely property with relaxed atmosphere

TV remote didn’t work; toilet didn’t flush effectively; sink plug didn’t fit properly so water drained whilst shaving

The restaurant was nice and the food was good quality and nice wines and cocktails

The property was a rabbit warren and you had to walk through the kitchen serving area to get to the garden rooms. The kitchen closed for room service orders by 9.30pm and an omelette for breakfast was too much of an ask! The room was comfortable and okay not certainly not worthy of the £450 per night charge!
