I paid €42 on Booking.com, arrived as scheduled, and then the host refused to give me the key unless I paid an extra €100 cash deposit on the spot. This was never handled properly or transparently and felt like a setup from the moment I arrived. When I explained that I did not have extra cash and that the only money I had left was for my return ticket, the host showed zero humanity or professionalism. Instead of offering any reasonable solution, he demanded to see my bank account or asked me to hand over my personal belongings as “security.” This is invasive, inappropriate, and completely unacceptable. When I refused, he locked me out and left me standing in the cold, despite the fact that I had already paid for the room. Let me be very clear: 👉 I paid. I arrived. I was denied access. I never entered the apartment. Later, the same host had the audacity to message me asking me to leave a good review in exchange for returning €20. That alone proves how dishonest and manipulative this operation is. It gets worse. His behavior was aggressive and threatening. At one point, he even asked me to come outside and fight, which is beyond shocking. This is not just unprofessional — it is dangerous behavior. This host is rude, intimidating, dishonest, and a bully. The apartment itself is unclean, poorly managed, and clearly not run by someone who should be hosting guests at all.
